well i think you are strawmanning the people asking for it to be “free” also, all i saw was people asking for bad luck protection to be implemented or people asking them to fix the current bad luck protection which doesn’t work
Have the 359 you, don’t have the 359 you want, I can’t understand why anyone would argue in defense of this bad game design. Archeology is not enjoyable to most players, but they feel obligated to do it for these items. It’s nested RNG with no guaranteed end in sight, and just feels bad. I’d personally rather they nerf the items to 353 ilvl so no one felt obligated to do this.
I’m not strawmanning it at all. I’m saying an item that has been historically rare should remain historically rare. In my honest opinion I always thought that archeology should have never had raid level gear to begin with, it should have always been just toys and tmog.
So if they dropped the 359 item level weapons and items to item level 1 only used for tmog, would that solve the problem?
I decided to do this last night, and then I watch our Shadow Priest pull Zin on his 28th Troll solve. He didn’t even realize what he had, was so deflating for me having sunk 60+ hours digging for it.
“it should be rare because it was rare before”
your argument is so flimsy that you argue against it yourself in the same thread lol
Explain to me succinctly how I am arguing against myself.
sure
we say arch sucks and should be changed
and u reply “no it was like this before”
and that’s your only argument,
you can’t use the reason it was like this before, right?
I’ve already expressed why. The system in of itself is bad; RNG grinding with no end in sight for power increases is not good game design in my eyes. That has nothing to do with the longevity of the item.
If you think that’s the only reason I have stated then I question your reading comprehension skills my good sir.
You just described wows entire raiding scene for almost 20 years
i have read many of your messages, you don’t mention any reasons
go ahead and give one
you can’t use the reason it was like this before
Go and reread them then.
Correct. Like I said yesterday, my logic doesn’t just limit to this specific grind. But people continue to raid for a variety of reasons outside of the RNG aspect.
And that’s unfortunate that you’ve invested that much time with no Zin’rohk but it’s typical of RNG systems, it’s essentially boss loot baked into a profession. It’s like farming a pet, I farmed the Azure Whelpling in TBC and it took me ~1,600 which is about where 30% of players will recieve it with 70% having already recieved it. I knew it was going to take a while and when I got it I was free, I didn’t have to, could’ve quit at any time but I did it and got, I was rewarded for my time.
You’ll get it, might not be within the pre-patch but you’ll get it.
i tried, there’s no real substance to anything
if you could quote something yourself?
Needing those items isn’t needed, the weapons from dungeons are 1-3% off of the weapons, if you think you’re wasting your time then just stop farming it.
I’m not going through this thread on my phone requoting myself champ. I’m sorry that you can’t get xxx epic prior to cata release. If it were up to me I would remove all weapon damage and stats from them so they are tmog pieces only, but people don’t actually want that, they want free epics for parsing week 1.
hmm yeah, that’s what i thought, take 5 mins to reply, cant find anything
“nope i refuse to make a point”
gets angry with the person trying to find his argument, classic
“champ”
I have made my point abundantly clear. Do you know the best precursor to future prison population in our country? It’s reading at a 3rd grade level. You better be careful bud, you don’t want to end up a statistic.
