There are a ton of power increases that may or may not be “needed”, not even limited to gear. Enchants, gems, consumables, etc. That doesn’t really address what I said. I’m attacking the design while you’re talking about motive.
where is your point? what is it? can you quote or no? you spent so much time replying to me already u could have found it by now
My point is suck it up and stop crying about loot prior to the release of an expansion. What are your thoughts on that?
no no no i mean, whats your reasoning?
so your reasoning that archaeology shouldn’t be fixed is “sick it up and stop crying”
lol
You keep saying archeology is broken. Your premise is flawed from the get go. Archeology is only broken to YOU and other man child’s like you because you can’t get the shiny when it’s relevant.
another insult, still no reasoning, getting kinda bored here champ, its in the thread somewhere right? can u give me a hint?
Archeology is working as designed and intended. Nothing about it is broken. Being unhappy with the system doesn’t mean the system is broken, it means you don’t like the system.
so the goalposts have now switched
you aren’t arguing against the point that it should be changed, you are just trolling the thread with “this is how it was”, despite insisting we don’t use that argument
because
too easy champ
Why does anyone want any gear at all?
You know what, fair point.
The design of Archaeology is RNG and when RNG is involved there’ll always be cases of people not recieveing X item even after a significant number of attempts (solves). A pity system will limit that number to a more… agreeable one. Personally I do see Blizzard adding a pity system at some point, probably not in the pre-patch but maybe once Cataclysm actually launches.
No, it is broken. Maybe not in the RNG sense but it is true that you can’t get certain items from it.
And your use of the word “champ” is condescending so I think they be as rude as they want.
im using the word champ because he replied to me with “champ”,
Ah okay… Carry on.
It doesn’t really have to be a pity system either. There are several options; make it purely cosmetic, bring the ilvl down to heroic equivalent, make it so it costs 5k frags to make once you hit 525, etc. Several ways to skin this cat in my eyes.
looks like soaks is becoming a crop, time to abandon thread
Yeah, remove the whole reason people want it lol
Hey, the complaining would stop =) plus having it as a heroic equivalent does still provide some incentive, don’t have to compete in dungeons for a drop
I’m just saying we have options to explore; I’m an advocate for the status quo being changed.
The goalposts have never moved. I have always stated that you shouldn’t get something simply because you put time in. That’s antithesis to how wow has worked since its inception. Yes, I do derive joy from watching grown men meltdown, it’s funny. It’s funny how people attach their identities to a video game and cry about anything that doesn’t go their way. The point that archeology should be changed has no substance at all. A significant portion of the people doing archeology are only doing it in a 4-5 week window to have a leg up on others, and they will discontinue to do archeology after they get a weapon from the first raid tier. This is why archeology doesn’t need to be changed or reworked at all, because the very reason change is being asked for is perverted in nature by sweatlords who break stuff when they can’t go into raids with perfect pre-bis.
No, a whole new complaint will begin…
I spent too long farming X for it to be changed into a cosmetic, change it back now…
I can see that being spammed if the change ever happened.
Many, many WoW systems do in fact work like that, so I don’t see how it’s “antithetical” to WoW
Weird, bro!
the entire skill is so bad that unless these carrots were dangled, no one would want to do it is probably something we all agree on (except maybe soaks but he has a dent in his head so he doesn’t count)
wow u live on another planet, like genuinely
yep
