wow i mean almost 4%? most competitive raiders would do unspeakable things behind an olive garden for that big of a damage increase. me getting phylactery in ICC wasn’t even 2% for me and that shiz was bonkers. no wonder everyone is digging for it
because that would wholly invalidate the massive effort that many many people have already put into this grind, it would have been a good call to make before launching pre-patch.
why are you even here then if you got your staff?
To flex on us and say its not needed. Its like hes living in flint Michigan and is like why do you guys need fresh water? As he sips on bottled water

They won’t even last 1 phase, they’ll last a couple lockouts before you get something else from the raid. I just cannot for the life of me grasp why people are always so unbelievably sweaty over PreBiS. It’s entirely unneeded in any version of the game and is quite possibly the biggest waste of time any raider does with how short its lifespan is. You can craft the Elementium and get 90% of the stats, any casual can just pick up the Oversized Oblique Ogre Obliterator and replace it with a heroic dungeon drop later.
Ya I completely agree The grind is stupid We’re not playing cata to Is pretend to do a grind like the rank pvp Ranking system and yes it’s comparable.
I think there should be bad luck protection Heck I would even say 5+ Sets 200 Should increase your chance to get that epic dramatically 10+ I say you get it automatically.
Yeah I know it’s only one time but still But yeah, I completely agree. The grinds ridiculous and it should be that bad.
Because most peoples 99’s or 100’s will come from week 1 or 2 where they have an advantage over other people. Also, people want to parse as high as possible week 1 so they can GDKP.
why do you think parsing is the only reason people want the weapons? they are also a level 85 heirloom with 359 ilvl, perfect for a fresh character
No, me saying 1-3% is a general rule for all gear upgrades.
No, I’m saying that ripping your hair out over this is unhealthy and you should take a breather if it is the case.
None of the weapons are as low as a 1% upgrade, saying so is disingenuous.
Come on, read what I’m typing…
1-3% is a general rule for all gear upgrades which isn’t limited to the Archaeology weapons, it includes helms, shoulders, chests, belt, pants, boots, bracers, gloves, trinkets, rings, relics, main hand weapons, off hand weapons and ranged weapons.
For me to explain this is quite honestly ridiculous.
Why are you bringing up helms, shoulders, chests, belt, pants, boots, bracers, gloves, relics or ranged weapons?! This entire debate is about Archeology gear and none of those apply. 3 weapon options, a ring, a shield, a trinket. These are very specific and do not need to be generalized. Weapons are among the biggest impact for any class, and it’s much more than 1%, for me to need to explain that is quite ridiculous really.
Wut
Because you missed the my point about 1-3% being a general rule.
Yeah, then it’s be 3%, not hard to understand.
It would be exceptionally difficult to put a general rule to gear % upgrades because you’d both need to check every item in the game and also check every item in the game vs what the person has, it wouldn’t be very general at all, most weapons and trinkets would fall easily outside of a 1-3% range, there’s also a ton of items where value fluctuates depending on other stats
Sorry, but you’re not making any sense. That’s also not what you said initially.
Let me give you an example if it’s so hard to understand.
You’re full Ulduar BiS and you’re doing TotGC for the first time, you get a gear upgrade, the general rule (you can just call it my general rule if that pleases you) is that it’s a DPS increase of 1-3%.
Understand now?
Ok, but we’re talking about archeology weapons. And so were you, when you first said they were 1-3% upgrades.
Yes it is.
Did I need to state that as a general rule for it? Didn’t know that I needed to do that, I’ll keep that in mind next time.
