it depends what race you are going for, if u were going for troll or night elf it would take like 10 hours to get 100
But itâs still not irrelevant until you have the raid weapons which isnât guaranteed at all so post-release wouldnât change the motivation from that angle.
Right, but it evens the playing field for people. I personally donât even think it should have been obtainable in the prepatch. I think that was an oversight from them.
it wasnât available in the original cata prepatch which is why there are so many problems with it currently, they added it + old world flying
What do you mean when you say evens the playing field for people? I kinda agree with the availability point; this does feel like an oversight more than anything else.
While not official, there was some community research back in original Cata that suggested the drop rate was approx 1.6%, and also that as a ballpark predictive model, it would take 90 solves (and after reaching 450 at that) to net a 50% chance of having completed ZR, and 400 solves to net a 90% chance.
That of course, suggests 10% of players still wonât have it after 400 troll solves, which ties back to the observation that there is no bad luck protection here, and at the outer reaches you could do 1,000 solves and never see it, while certainly some people will see very favorable RNG.
On retail, many players have claimed that theyâve solved over 1000 Troll artifacts and havenât seen ZinâRokh, and yes I know solves before 450 skill donât count. Combine that with the fact that we canât Dragonride in Cata Classic, and each digsite only has three solves, just ugh.
It would provide and reward people with multiple options to obtain an epic weapon while not allowing them to get a head start prior to the expansion even releasing.
I have a guildie that got it after 7 years of here and there grinding.
But this head start is available to everyone so itâs not much of a head start, right?
I am of the opinion that archeology shouldâve just been cosmetic, not functional.
Just keep spreading the word. Hopefully enough comment here and we get a community mod to join the chat and that gets it kicked up higher inside blizzard.
Why not make it cosmetic now?
Im fine with that
Iâll agree to cosmetics as long as they add a blue/purple/red/orange bandana wrapped around the shield.
just let me dig at one site forever⌠flying all over the map and hoping my races sites pop up⌠is mind numbing⌠keep it a low chance⌠but please let me just continuously dig
Making them cosmetics now after people have sunk huge time into farming them would be hilarious
Source? Sims for most specs arenât even up yet so how can you possibly make that claim.
Warrior sim works and itâs 3.8% above next highest option, the 1% I think is him just corrupting this data to try and sell his point.
Same here. glad blizz fixed the missing nelf toys and all those commons!
