Please fix archaeology

Where does that say anything about a general rule of upgrades being 1-3%? lmao

You specifically mentioned weapons from dungeons in comparison to archeology weapons

If you meant it in a general sense, then yes? Hello? But you didn’t, you shifted the goalposts when you got corrected. You’re just a dishonest debater.

Yes, second BiS which happens all the time in raids.

You don’t always get first BiS, you’re most likely going to have second/thrid BIS before getting first BiS.

You can think that if you want.

You: “Dungeon weapons are only 1-3% worse than archeology weapons”
Others: “No, that’s not correct”
You: “Oh, I meant upgrades in general are typically about 1-3%. Ridiculous that I even have to state a general rule like that”

:person_facepalming: bruh

they are…

We have someone in this thread contradicting you, and you admit your number is literally a “general rule” you made up in your head.

It was said that it’s ~3% (zin) from the dungeon alternative which believe it or not 1-3 has 3 in it.

It’s bigger than 1-3%, a number which you quite literally pulled from your behind while others are actually using sims. And you pivoted to calling it a “general rule” after someone pointed out that “1-3%” is not correct.

3% for UH DK

~1,114 dps difference between Zin and Whitefin.

1-3% still holds.

I’m not really sure what your argument is I must admit, archaeology is not good but should remain as it is because its only 3% difference per item?

People stressing over not getting a weapon should take a breather and come back at it with a clear head. I’ve heard people quitting because of it and if people actually are quitting then they should’ve taken a break rather than to begrudgingly continue like some form of self torture.

I’m just saying it’s not worth ripping your hair out.

I think that’s fair, I actually warned my guild ahead of time about archaeology and told them to be very careful with it, if it wasn’t a video game I’d say its a predatory system, for some people they just can’t stop because the next pull is the one where they win

It’s literally 3.8%, not a guess the actual sim from second BiS for an Arms Warrior is 3.8%

Thank you for supplying a real value! Now while 1-3% may be technically true for this class, you have to admit that it is disingenuous to imply it’s 1% when it sits comfortably at 3%.

Arms Warrior

Zin’rokh was 13% more dps in this test. Significantly more than I thought it would be.

A good reason is easy. Use myself as an example I have been farming for Tyrande’s Favorite Doll. I have 200 Nigh Elf solves since 450. Which does not include the others which are being done just to get more NE solves. This grind for a singular item has easily taken me 30+ hours, and lucky to get 6 solves an hour but it can carry wildly.

There is not a piece of raid gear that takes that long to farm with no other reward. Early ICC full clears took what 2-3 hours? TOGC took an hou, Naxx a couple hours. You could run any of these raids 15-25 times in the amount of time people are grinding it.

This is being compared to “The Insane” title. Bad luck protection at the 300 mark makes sense otherwise it is like Diablo 2 crap all over again.not that this will stop me from farming everyday until launch but still frustrating

The question of how good of an upgrade the epics are is a distraction. Regardless of why someone wants it, the current grind to get it is insane. Even if you only want it for transmog, or an alt next phase, it should not require 1000+ troll or dwarf solves to have a reasonable chance to acquire the sword or the staff.

There were many solutions which could have been successful if they had implemented them in advance. They could have removed these items from the drop pool until release, or they could have made them transmog items. Neither of these solutions would be workable now.

Blizz has a choice. They can either leave things they way they are now and consign those who want one of the rare rewards to an insane grind, or they can add some form of bad luck protection or increased drop rate.

RIP lmao. I’m less than 100 solves per race and have trinket, 2h sword, shield and mount. Feelsbad for all the poor souls that will spend an absurd amount of time and never see them.

I want it very briefly to use. But I want all of them forever for All The Things. D— you Crieve! lol
