Please fix archaeology

And there are many many systems that have RNG applied. The most sought after gear has always been behind a wall of randomness. Sure you have rep, but that does nothing after the first tier.

Straw man fallacy again
next! You never seem to learn. I said your logic is retail oriented. You talk about how retail has removed all these functions to dismiss my point and I counter with this isn’t retail.

Ah okay I see it now. They did something in Legion that changed how that mechanic worked then right? I remember it being largely forgettable up until then.

Mop: Thunderforging +6 ilvls

Warforging +6 ilvls

WoD: Warforging, +6 ilvls same system as end of MoP.

Legion: Titanforging up to 35 ilvls

BFA: Titanforging up to 35 ilvls

Legion is when titanforging existed.

you in fact did not say oriented, at all, but even if it was, that’s exactly what yours is, your argument for it being bad is that it was literally bad before and you’ve also told people in this thread to just play retail

listen man i know a really good comedy club and they’d be glad to have you, this is one of hell of an act

I found it from a reddit post. It appears they added a massive distinction between the current gear and the forged gear.

Precedence is what my logic is rooted in. There is precedence for rng systems spread all throughout WoW up to current retail. I am pointing out the game designers philosophy which has shifted slightly throughout the years on certain things, but has remained constant on other areas. Retail is a completely different game at this point with the crafting system and loot system, but it has remained constant through almost all of wows entirety that sought after items are gated by randomness. If zin’rokh was item level 346 instead of 359 I wouldn’t care about it, but it’s not. Show me what iteration of WoW have guaranteed tier 1 raid epics in the prepatch of said expansion.

Ive not put in as many solves as ive seen on my class discord bit not seeing a rare in my last 50-75 troll solves is a bit ridiculous. Even legendary drop rates weren’t this bad historically.

Legendaries also could not be completed solo outside of raid or group content.

that’s the entire point, the philosophy has changed and they’ve removed all of the junk, except in classic, the junk stays

you want the junk to stay because it was like this before, i don’t see any other reason posted, which is why i asked originally

I understand you’re upset, but at the moment blizzard clearly agrees with me since they have not changed it and are unlikely to change it. They do not want a powerful raid tiered weapon that’s bind on account to be easily accessible prior to the release of the expansion it’s from.

I am not upset, but again the game designers don’t agree with you, they’ve removed every single thing that you’ve quoted

Let me ask you this then. If blizzard made it so that you would get it after 100 solves guaranteed, but that wouldn’t kick in until cataclysm’s release, would you be fine with that?

I would be. Sorry I was researching the history of titanforging. Yeah it’s been changed a lot over the years.

I actually think 100 solves is too little, my preferred method would be having them as 346s, but a pity timer of a few hours is a bit too few

If that solution was offered to me I would probably take it though

If blizzard changed the items to 346 I would be fine with them literally mailing them to everyone for free since it’s a heroic quality item that everyone is going to have.

What’s the appeal of when cata launches though? there will likely be like a 10 day delay until the raid comes out anyhow

Heroics are released so there is a larger incentive to do that instead of grinding arch.

I actually do support this. I don’t want free epics! I don’t want to feel obligated to do this stupid profession for preraid BiS

Because 100 solves would probably take 1-2 weeks of serious grinding and it separates people who want it just to be sweaty vs people who want it for tmog or whatever reason.
