Please don't queue as a fresh 120 with 80k health and 230 ilvl

People who are fresh 120s need to understand they aren’t going to be able to just go off and 1v1 someone (why should they?) but if they stick with the team they can do some real damage, as opposed to fresh max level in other expansions. If you see a fresh 120 defending a base, go take their spot. BGs are won by the better team (and that includes what choices are made such as these)

Fresh 120s are dead weight and are useless, especially since they have no good traits.

A good player knows to get gear before queueing PvP it’s common courtesy .

Would you prefer if Blizzard implemented a minimum ilvl before entering a BG?

EDIT: I wouldn’t necessarily call that “common courtesy.” We’re playing a video game here, not going to a formal.

At the start of Legion, honor wasn’t shared across accounts. It was bound to character. Characters that had not unlocked the full talent tree were given their own bracket.

That was done because there was a big “power” disparity between people who had fully unlocked their talents and those who hadn’t (along with the weapon).

The major “power” disparity that now exists are having good azerite powers and that is heavily correlated with your item level. That is, chance of you having a good loadout of azerite traits is very low if your item level is low.

No, they should have their own bracket. It would be more enjoyable for everyone provided that it didn’t trash queue times.

Would you consider doing some world quests and buying 350 gear off of the auction house to be PvE content?

Mists, which arguably had the best PvP season of all time ( prideful ) had an actual PvE way to get PvP gear on the Isle of thunder. That is what this game needs again

I’m not saying I disagree with you. Separate brackets for PVP is such a taboo subject in these forums. I’ve seen the most intense internet rage I’ve ever seen from people who do not want separate just for mentioning it here. It’s so awkward.

Scaling was implemented specifically to ease the barrier to entry for freshly capped players and to level the playing field a bit.

PvP to your hearts’ content, n00bs. You’re welcome as long as you don’t cap snowfall.

How do you see out of that helmet? Makes me think “Bioshock.”

Exactly. Yes, you won’t be as powerful as someone more geared, but you can 100% do fine if you play with your team.

Please don’t tell me how to play my game. It’s not fun for anyone and its extremely selfish.

I wholeheartedly agree with you but man, say that on the FFXIV forums. It’ll go over like a lead balloon.

Common responses “if you’re playing with me, you’re on MY time too and you WILL do what I say.”

How about donating 100K in gold so I can get the gear for my fresh 120 ?

If levelers have to deal with twinks, people that have been at 120 for awhile gearing have to deal with new people joining the bracket.

And maybe some like to see how well they can do with little / fresh out the gate.

People who care about others gear can handpick their teammates by ilvl and jump into 2s/3s/rated bgs.

To do pve content? certainly. But how do you think pvers would feel if the best way for them to get started on their gearing path was to do pvp? They would cry until their eyes bled.

Gearing is probably the least fun aspect of pvp to me. I miss previous expansions of having starter gear bought with honor. You could spam 40 mans for a couple of days and have a full set of honor gear while you earned conquest. My fresh 120 has 2 pieces of conquest and spammed wq and warfronts to get within 50 ilvls of conquest gear.

Earning gear doing what you enjoyed, PvP. Why take away honor gear?

And anyone who said 360s drop in every win is wrong. My last 4 wins dropped nothing but a box with marks, gold and potions or mats. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Random BG gear drops scale up to 360. On my fresh 120 I think I got a 310 drop (something like that, was hoping for a 360). This toon is alliance so wins are scarce which means gear drop are scarce.

Motivation to play is waning.

Nope, I’ll keep queuing with my fresh 120 alts and there’s nothing you can do about it. I even use mercenary mode for faster queues. Think of it as a chance to hone your skills as you fight against overwhelming odds in BG’s. I am actually helping you by doing this. Aren’t I so thoughtful?

If you don’t like it, blame Blizzard for making it difficult to gear a PvP player through pure PvP by making everything a lottery instead of having PvP gear vendors.

But I queue as mercenary for the fast queues. I’ll be on your team! You won’t be killing me because you’ll be stuck defending me. There will be no laughter from you, just rage as you complain about me dragging down the team. Don’t worry, it will bring me great joy to taste the salty tears of the Alliance as they rage about an impending loss and give up to fight on the roads instead of doing the objectives.
