Please don't queue as a fresh 120 with 80k health and 230 ilvl

OP: Don’t queue for non-competitive content if you’re undergeared!
Me: Yeah, I haven’t heard this argument in BC, WotLK, Cata, Panda, Warlords…

Okay maybe not legion. But besides that, how is this a new thing? It’s been this way since forever.

Get used to it.

So you are saying gear matters in PVP whereas Blizzard has said forever that gear doesn’t matter. Which is it?

There is no reason they can not get passed 100k when hitting 120. I absolutely do not know how they do it to be honest. I mean… so many quest just to do when you hit 120. Hell 10k on my shard will get you quite a few pieces of the crafted 340.

to say that new toons MUST first pve in order to do casual pvp is a foul
best not to open that can of worms

’ scaling ’ ftw

Great idea…instead of holding Blizzard to doing their job and maybe putting fresh 120’s in their own queue, let’s just exclude them from being able to take part in content. You should work for blizzard, you make as much sense as they do.

Pay my sub and you can tell me what to do.

These guys are fun to watch in some of the matches. Especially when a base is left empty and I have no choice but to defend it. I think they mean well. Seriously, I dont check any health pools unless I’m on d, it leaves an element of surprise.

The scaling allows fresh 120s a fighting chance. Why would you deny them the Joy’s of destroying those raid/mythic geared try hards? The closer their ilvl gets to those top tier end gamers the less threat they pose. Seriously man dont deny them what little joy they may have at 120.

Tldr: have fun :hugs:

I wish I could agree but I can’t. I literally qued as a MW monk with 80k health and 300ilvl and carried my teams in almost every bg I have done so far. The lack of experienced healers in horde bgs is insane. It is almost never close.

Why are you holding the team back if the opposite team has exact same problem? It’s not all about throughput. One can sit a base, call incs, concentrate on CCs, slow etc.

You’re a level 120 twink - don’t tell me how to play the game. You move to a different que.

i had 59k health when i hit 120 on this mage :stuck_out_tongue:

i been grindin battlegrounds anyways tho… got my azz whooped plenty, but not anymore that im almost 370…

all that time spent trying to stay alive at low ilvl has been excellent practice… everytime i died i said to myself “i stayed alive for a while considering how weak my gear is, when i get better gear this will be awesome”… and now that i got better gear, my reaction time is so fast i can tear it up in bgs now

didn’t we spend all of legion listening to people asking for a larger difference in scaling in bgs? you have it now, welcome to the effects.

As long as you’re on the enemy team, sure. You’re easy prey

Gearing is OP I demand a separate queue for my undergeared 120. I shouldn’t have to spend time making my endgame character competitive for pvp, the geared characters should be separated like they are at lower levels now.

You are obviously venting, but I’m afraid this thread accomplishes nothing except giving SJWs another stupid reason to cry foul (cheers to the “it’s my sub I’ll do what I want” crowd lol). You also may or may not notice that the forums usually house the same people and not your target audience, which are most of the fresh 120s that are aggravating you. Unfortunately, the only way to avoid them is to stay out of casual content.

Most here fail to realize that there’s only premade (rated) or random (unrated) PvP. Hardcore-ish PvP and casual PvP. There is nothing in between for those of us who don’t want to stress over rated but still want to play in a small competitive capacity in unrated without noobs, bads, lazies and/or fresh 120s. We used to have full premades many years ago, but then casuals complained of the unfairness so Activision Blizzard nerfed it and only 5 man groups are allowed. Do multiple 5 mans slide into the same BG occasionally? Sure, but it is not often.

See, there’s more flexibility in PvE between LFR, Normal, Heroic and Mythic. You can stay away from the casuals in LFR while not being forced into Mythic. You can be in Normal and/or Heroic with a full PUG premade and still be satisfied with how efficient your progression is going. PvP doesn’t have anything like that anymore and will not be getting anything like it back. So I suggest you try to find some other outlet like throwing some games or trolling the chat if your random team frustrates you that much lol. Just the cost of being forced to play with each other.

Not my fault i just hit lvl 120 and I want to pvp. Maybe you should put on lower level gear, or better yet maybe blizz should give you your own queue.

Eventually the weakest link will be exposed.
Being a team based game, we should strive for power.

ilvl312 is like “two cares given” for effort at this point in the expansion.

You are correct I have owned many 400 plus geared players in many BGs.

You’re right about the 80k people who leveled in PVE.

If you level in PVP you ding 120 at about 230-240 and 50k health.

With respect to the original post, I wouldn’t tell them not to queue but I’d definitely recommend doing war fronts and emissaries pronto. But then, I rarely do battlegrounds any more since 8.1 gave me world PVP alternatives for Conquest; I just have way too many issues with the way Blizzard deals with balance issues in battlegrounds.

I did que at 120 with 80k health, the rest of my team had 200K+ health and 400 ilvl etc and whatevers in WSG.

The bg ended in a loss with me as a fresh 120 killing two flag carriers and also topping the Ally team scoreboard.

I promise you it isn’t the fresh 120’s making landslide loss bg’s.
