Yeah cause a majority of the gold just stays in GDKP loops to purchase more items from GDKPs.
Yes it’s basically a closed circuit for the gdkp gold.
Even if you accept this as true, it does a lot to raiding.
No it doesn’t.
Majority of gdkp players raid in a guild and gdkp on their alts.
Which is why almost every gdkp player calls it the “best pug loot setting”.
Because it’s usually always done by alts and not mains.
Your issues is that gear accuisition is a large portion of the gameplay loops… and this style you disdain is in retail, cata classic, SoD, MoP remix…
Here we go some more.
Citation please.
Def has nothing to do with free money for doing nothing.
Total BS.
As always a garbage take.
So you think the majority of gdkps are actually done by raiders who main gdkps?
Thats a WILD take.
My guild runs 1 of if not the largest gdkp discords in classic.
Not really, people like money and this its one of the easiest ways of making it in droves.
Should I clap for you? Because thats anecdotal at best.
You havent said your experiences you just want “data” that no one can provide.
Gdkp is literally called the best “pug loot system” and its 99% of the time used for alts, you can cry for data and citations all you want that doesnt make it any less true.
Again this has been explained 100000 times.
Gdkp gold is pointless, its a closed system that uses the gold inside its own system.
So having 1,000,000 gold doesnt really do anything outside of gdkps, youre going to be gearing up your alts.
Explain the concept of “Pure Buyers” without the answer making you look stupid.
Somehow its my fault that you spew things you admittedly cannot corroborate?
What a time to live.
Your whole argument cant be proven lmfao, what are you even saying?
Prove that more mains do gdkps than alts.
Prove the ratio of gold buyers who buy gold just for gdkps.
Prove anything?
A toon that needs every item that drops, thats used for his spec.
In agreement, but I would posit it is more fair to say that many GDKP players gear their mains outside GDKPs.
Since many also take their mains into GDKPs after progression is done with guild or guild turns their LC runs into GDKPs until new content.
With GDKPs, having a geared main is basically the best source of gold making / per hour / most fun because you just show up to raid and pump for bonuses. Then you spend that gold on an alt in another run xD
I did it on my mage however since i raid in a guild i only did it on previous tier.
Most mains raid in a guild.
They make gdkp alts specifically for gdkps.
I could make a rat alt right now and have a prio spot in my guilds gdkp discord because my guild runs it.
Yeah and they know you are a competent player, so even if you had zero gold and no other toons, helping you get a toon geared is worth it to the entire group.
I only play on Era so my experience may be diff, but most people I know will take their mains into GDKPs yet most geared them through LC or some other systems way long ago.
Newer players on Era do have mains that were fully geared from GDKP pugs from basically a fresh acc.
Yeah when i talk im not talking about your typical rat trade chat gdkps, im talking about actual organized discord gdkps.
I am referring to both because both are important parts of GDKP community I think.
For easy raids random trade chat stuff is often fine, esp on Era in which basically the same people have been running stuff for years now. When gearing up alts and learning, and for new player, rat ZG / aq20 full of noobs with a few carries pulling it together is good for them to learn as well.
For naxx I always go with same group with disc that runs like 4 alliance naxx per week on whitemane cluster.
The gdkp structure is a lot easier for easier raids.
Like a trade chat pug would easily do SOD or Era raids but a trade chat pug isnt doing 12/12 Heroic ICC.
Hell most of the people couldnt even do that in their guilds, take Toughburger, there is no shot he did it.
Magnificent cope.
Yeah, there have been a few trade chat GDKPs that have successful done a full naxx on Era over the years. (but a few I mean like under 5 total runs went 15/15 as trade chat pugs without prior structure)
I helped heal shobek’s LFG naxx pug GDKP like a year ago and it took a brutal half a day to kill KT. You can hear the joy of finally being done in his voice here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EwpSRkL4FYk
The group I run with currently it takes us a bit under 2h to clear naxx rotating a few new players and buyers each week. At start of year it was closer to 3h, so improvements but still lots of room to grow.
But yeah it takes like more than 10x the effort / connections to put together a good GDKP for naxx than it does for ZG / AQ20, or even BWL.
