That’s what they’re asking MM to be, though. Basically a non-pet hunter bard mix.
Good, go ahead and engage with and interact with the 2 that constantly make personal attacks though and don’t argue against them. Makes you the same as them.

As a BM hunter, I’m kind of bummed about losing Eagle Eye. I actually use that quite a bit to scout around, it’s pretty handy!
Helps out in PvP as well.
No… Nobody has once asked for that…
People are asking for either,
A. MM hunter as it is with its pet.
B. MM hunter with lonewolf option and no abilities tied to the pet spell book.
or
C. MM hunter as a sniper/ranger without a pet period.
Nobody in this entire forum has ever asked for MM hunter to be a “non-pet hunter bard mix.”
So we’re on the same page?
You want a customization option, I’m pointing out we already had a list of bonded beasts that’s being ignored with this new ability design.
We have the exact same ask, we’re just coming at it from different directions?
You did the same thing; you went after one of their ratings in PvP “Yep? Not even 1550, and not great at the other too!”
I haven’t tried to dismiss anyone based on their cr, M+ rating, or Parse scores once this whole post.
You’re a hypocrite, bye.
Eagle Eye is also super useful for the Arathi Basin Blizzard brawl and Eyes of the beast in general is just a fun flavor ability.
A is pretty fine because you have to sacrifice a little for ‘everything’ and therefore it’s balanced well enough.
B would be a bit unbalanced but could work at some point
Basically they want a ranged bard, yeah.
For them doing it to me, yeah. Imagine how that works. I sure didn’t go ‘skill issue’ in response to their point.
You did here, guess what that makes you? Ironic
You should be using concussive shot either way.
I listed the ones that wouldnt have an MS
I also havent pushed anything seriously since Cata.
The rating wasnt boosted. LOL at trying to push that. Its called having a family and not having the free time to push PvP.
Playing agasint uncoordinated teams is always going to be easier. I also dont have to explain that to you.
Also I dont have 1800 because waiting an hour per ques isnt a good use of my time.
I did lookk you up, wasnt impressed lol. Not anything I would expect you to flex on people.
So youre mediocre on all classes good to know lol
That last bit literally makes no sense, you’re grasping at straws.
If I wanted to come at you over some elitist bs, I could. But I haven’t, you on the other hand have.
Once again, bye. You’re getting ignored lmfao, troll.
Not always, if your team already has MS it’s something you can use especially vs classes frequently trying to LoS you or outrun you.
Which is very few, yes. In all the rest you use different pets.
Sure, then I guess you shouldn’t be the one trying to talk about mine.
Never getting the same rating again is a sign of that, yeah.
You and the other are the ones always trying to attack peoples skill - while your own isn’t something to boast about.
Then how come it isn’t easier for you?
Likewise, which is why I laugh at both of you trying to flex on other people and I decided to flex on you.
That applies to yourself.
Wouldn’t that mean you do?
You would fail, yeah.
Only in response to others that do so to myself or others, which is why I haven’t done it to you.
Have not used a pet except in solo content in years. Be real. The damage loss from having a pet out just makes it a non option.
Well every Sentinel Specced Hunter already has a “government mandated” owl
Class Information
Hunters battle their foes at a distance or up close, commanding their pets to attack while they nock their arrows, fire their guns, or ready their polearms.
Specializations
Hunter talents primarily strengthen their pets
I don’t know what your ask for the eagle is. You asked me if I was worried and I said no.
The point is that it’s NOT optional at all in any high end content. If MM Hunter has a pet out in a Mythic for any reason but lust then he gimps his damage. And then has to spend multiple seconds to dismiss it again
Survival and Beast Mastery will still have pets. So if you want to play the pet spec as a hunter, you’ve got two options.
This is not a viable option and the people who keep parroting it can be safely ignored as not having any actual interest in discussing this topic.
Then make it so Hunters can cast BL without needing a pet out.
3 seconds of standing still in a poison puddle rich environment is not “easy”
They’re not changing the spec because they can’t ‘balance’ around it.
Blizzard explained in detail why they’re making the change. A great example is that if you’re playing MM, even though almost all MM hunters pick Lone Wolf, there was still too much utility behind having certain pets (like having access to Bloodlust for example), which meant you had three choices:
- You could maintain maximum performance and not summon a pet, but lose access to a lot of the utility pets provided you and your party.
- You could summon a pet for the utility for you and your party, but that would significantly impact your performance as you would lose a significant chunk of your DPS to maintain the utility.
- You could juggle pet uptime, summoning and then de-summoning your pet, which was busywork and not at all fun.
So now, moving into 11.1, Blizzard has fixed that by replacing pets for MM with a spirit eagle. This eagle provides the utility that you’re used to having with your pet, it will be able to provide bloodlust, it will improve your DPS by making your Aimed Shot far more impactful etc, without the need to juggle or sacrifice DPS to do that.
This is a good change, not one to be pissed on and relegated to the dustbin of poor ideas because you’re desperate to have a pet out when two other specs exist that allow you to do that at all times.
I dont know, your explanation exactly fits definition
“they cannot balance MM so they changing it”.
Also I can solve all of these issues: Hunter’s lust ability becomes tree talent.
Done.
This is not a viable option
It is literally a viable option. You just don’t like it.
I play a hunter as my main, she’s a BM hunter because I like having Mechanical Pets swarm my targets. But when I want to do uber DPS in fights that are not pet friendly (Zek’vir ?? comes to mind) I swap to MM and don’t use a pet.
Then make it so Hunters can cast BL without needing a pet out.
If you had read the post from Blizzard, that’s exactly what your Spirit Eagle will be able to do.
Often forced to for lust in some groups.
I look forward to the Marks changes, finally some archery up in this Hunter class. I wish I was pulling overtime at Blizz HQ just to test it right now.
