Developers’ notes: Moving into Undermine(d), we are looking to reimagine Marksmanship’s Sharpshooter fantasy and reconcile some large spec friction points such as Lone Wolf. Undermine(d) is seeing Marksmanship lose their pet functionalities and it is instead joined in battle by a unique Eagle pet that will exist outside of the game space but continue to support you in combat in a uniquely Marksmanship way.
Regarding the PTR notes that was brought up to rework MM Hunters.
Please don’t.
It was one of the very defining attributes of playing a Hunter. I love pets. Most people love pets. It’s even better when you can play an MMO and tame a huge variety of pets. Mine specifically was horses and stags. I consider them therapeutic.
See equine therapy for more details.
I politely ask the developers again. Please do not remove Hunter pets from MM hunters. While I don’t main one, I like to take different approaches into gaming and explore Azeroth for the many beasts it has to offer.
Removing pets from MM hunters removes a huge chunk of immersion from them and sets an entertainment scale to an all new extreme low.
You are a company that is supposed to provide entertainment. That is your job.
If you were here since Vanilla WoW, Hunters were more than capable of summoning their beloved pet to aid them into battle. Some of these pets provided tanking abilities that would promote easier gameplay for new players.
See my Hunter, Rancos. I love my Dwarven Hunter and his pets.
Also, other MMOs tarried the same idea where if you play a bowsmen, you may be offered a pet.
I’ve used pets in Retail since 2019, when I started playing Wow. Your assertion is based upon your personal experience, which is certainly valid for you. Removing MM hunter pets is an extremely bad call.
