It’d be like saying someones a druid if they can’t shapeshift.

If they took away bear and cat form on my Resto druid in exchange for more healing power. I would not complain.
Mplus takes prio over delves yes.
Delves over rewarding is also an issue for a seperate conversation considering how easy they are.

Your personal definition isn’t reality.
By defining an entire class by 1 piece, regardless how much it actually makes up the spec.
So a blood dk and frost dk are also pet specs which makes deathknights a pet class?
But it doesn’t define outlaw as a stealth spec just because it is a rogue.
That’s also not an accurate comparison as stealth is valuable in ALL content and is used for openers.
A fair comparison would be removing poisons from outlaw. They exist, but they serve almost no purpose anymore.

It’s about game balance, if they buff aspects of MM without taking anything away then it makes it so the other specs can’t keep up.
If they keep pets for MM then MM can’t get the buffs that others feel they need. So if the developers give you what you want they can’t give others what they want.
This is a bad take.
A huge percentage of the playerbase are casual. Hunter is overwhelming popular with the casual crowd because you have the option of letting a pet tank for you.
These MM players have had a named pet that could protect them for 20 years and Blizzard is taking that away.
It’s the dumbest change Blizzard has done in a long, long time, and what a @#$&ing terrible way to go into Christmas.
This is a cancel sub moment for me.
Hopefully the outcry is loud and clear:
Hunters should always have the option to have their chosen companions.

After WoD I decided to stop playing so wasn’t aware they tried it again in Legion. Blizzard is becoming the definition of insanity by repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different outcomes.
Uhh MM has been petless every patch since legion.
It’s not a mistake. MM hasn’t been a pet spec since legion. The only people that think it is are solo players that used a pet. No one else uses a pet as MM outside of PvP players.

Big difference. Again, Don’t care that your sims or Min/Max call for you to always take it.
Its been. An. Option. And should remain an option.
Or Lone Wolf should be scrapped all together and those who don’t want to play with a pet can go to a non-pet class. Or petition for blizzard to finally make a SEcond Physical Ranged Class that is non-pet related.
This will literally just be history repeating itself when they removed Pets from MM in Legion. It didn’t last. The Pets came back to the spec. Why? For all the very same reasons we’re already been saying. We’ve had these pets. They’ve been there. Removing my option to have my pet within MM is just downright wrong. Leave the option if you must for those who wish to be “petless” within a pet class, but I am 100% not bothered by the fact that they have to utilize said pets to get pet related abilities.

And for whatever reason (probably balancing issues) they are removing the option.
Their game their choice.
Again don’t care that you feel bonded to a fake pet.
That choice isn’t yours or mine. The devs have the choice and they made it.
Yeah no. Let’s not kill marksman’s ability to do aoe damage because some minority of solo players want a pet.

If we’re such a minority, why are so many game systems being developed for us? The Game being made more open to more players?
Why were delves created?
World row for the Vault?
Why was there a story mode created for Raids?
Follower dungeons?
Heck, they even added Solo Queues to PvP.
Seems that the “Minority” in your eyes, Isn’t as minor as you see it. Otherwise, they wouldn’t waste the time or resources in making those items.

They also didnt create new things. Just amended existing things to be more solo friendly to increase even solo players free time.
