It’s quite obvious that a simple 2 to 1 ratio is not in favor of this proposed plan. And that’s being generous for YOU. A lot more people are clearly not in favor of any of this.

They’ll blame this change on the 1% top mythic players, while they need a pet to do the easiest content available and expect the game to be balanced around that.
It’s the M+ and raiders who are the ones crying about having to pull out a pet for BL.

Clearly there’s an equal amount of people posting in favor of this change as well, that statement goes both ways as there has been several people both in favor and not in favor posting here.
To point and go “hah ratio’d” is just stupidity.
The point of the forums is discourse between players and providing feedback to the developers, not to fight in pointless arguments as a means of proving whose thoughts are superior and score points over others as to “win an argument.”
Lol, a rule I learned about forums: satisfied people don’t feel the need to come to them and complain. Most of the last 400 messages in this thread come from the same 5 to 7 people, and half of them are defending the change.
Or do this when you select Lone Wolf, but keep all these things on the pet when you do not select Lone Wolf. Bam. Then make summoning the pet impossible if Lone Wolf is talented for good measure.

That seems to be a common complaint, but removing the pet from MM isn’t going to solve the problem for specs that still use their pets. Blizzard needs to do a better job with pets instead of sticking with pretty much the same pathing and controls we’ve had since 2004.

Exactly, but maybe this is them experimenting with a new sort of AI for pet controls going forward with different ways they behave and path based on what spec is played.
Well, removing another pet spec (RIP Water Elemental) looks more like them giving up than trying to make things better. We’re going from a pet we can control to some generic eagle pseudo-pet that’s just a glorified spell effect.
And look at Brann in delves or followers in follower dungeons. Their pathing is still atrocious.

Maybe getting rid of the bad, old spaghetti coded pathing and controls is the answer they’re wanting to try out by making pets more of a visual thing and providing more of the pet powers to the players directly.
I just want people to be openminded a bit and give it some time; not just write it off before they can even build upon it.
It feels like Blizzard are 1 for 1-ing Summoner in FFXIV. Summoners used to have a traditional pet, then they were reworked to have temporary pets which function a bit more like familiars which come and go depending on ability presses.

it seem an overhwleming majority of MM hunter do experience annoyance. this is why MM is getting a rework.
you don’t care about higher level content? we don’t care about your pet farming or wathever you do.
Why play a hunter? Why should hunters get shafted? Maby a hunter is wrong class for you.

But I want my pet. I don’t want some visual buff that might as well be a toy effect. You could make a toy called “Eagle’s Call” that summons an eagle that flies overhead and that would replicate what they’re doing with MM. Just zero class fantasy involved. No taming, no naming, no nothing. Just some dumb bird flying overhead. And it’s the same bird for every race and faction.

JFC, Youre still spouting this? I doubt youve even played a hunter with you thinking you need 3 pets for things 1 pet and 1 already existing hunter ability can do.
And believe it or not, you might want sit down for this, the game is not called world of M+/raiding. There is a whole other 90% of the game besides you doing your damn keys. A whole outside world and other solo content.
