Please don’t remove Hunter pets

Not at all. It has its place. I use it in dungeons. But I use my pet everywhere else.

the problem come from abilities tied to MM pet.

you need to summon your pet for lust, summon a different pet for freedom, and summon another different pet for the leech/heal… all while having a pet out is a DPS decrease for MM.

they are much better off having no pet while lust/freedom/leech is put on other abilities.

I spec into it but 99% have my pet out. My pet gorilla has been a good friend for some time and always make me happy to see him.

I mean it took them 10 years to figure out how to make 2h and dw frost dk to be competitive with each other.
And one still always wins out over the other depending on the season.

They won’t listen, it’s all about sentimental value for them. They don’t want get rid of the pets, they don’t care that the utility is all being baked into the class and that it will be easier to solo content without a pet. They want a little furry friend by their side.

Leach is a passive that comes from Ferocity pets which also have lust. Freedom is another pet and is more pvp related as I can just disengage out of a trap anyway.

Oh shucks, a pet class having to utilize their pet for the pet related abilities.

God I hope the people behind the Warlock class don’t see this as a great sign to completely upend our specs because of having to use certain minions for certain abilities.

With these stupid changes you have to go BM/SV spec if you want to hang out with your Gorilla again.

and how is either of this relevant? you have abilities tied to a pet you don’t want because it’s a DPS downgrade to have it out.

Tbh mm isn’t really a pet spec. The pet is just kind of there.
Like frost mage elemental or arcane familiar.

just wait until you find out sacc’ing your pets has often been a meta for warlock over the last 2 decade.

I’d be down if they gave us a damage boost like with Marksmanship.

Or I unsub and wait until they add it back to MM. There are other ways to play WoW…never forget they said talent trees were crap and added them back later.

Trueeeeeeee.

There is a difference between Warlocks Killing off a Minion for gains in power (very central to the Warlock theme for sacrificing things to gain power), and completely removing pets from a Hunter Class that its class description and fantasy relies on pets.

I can always resummon my minion, even after sacrificing it.

Warlock pets function very differently from hunter pets. First, because they have very few types. Second, because to each type there’s only a single active ability and not passives and raid buffs attached to them, and third, even Warlock has a spec with its own “Lone Wolf”, and it works better there because when you use it you inherit the pet’s main active ability.

Plus, Warlocks have 3 strong identities (Curses/Shadow, Fel/Fire, and Demonology), while hunters were pretty much small variations of the same thing that later required to be developed into their own identities.

Too bad Blizzard couldn’t do something like this for Hunters… oh wait. They could have.

I dont understand your argument. You posted why there are different pets. I pointed out how 2 of the abilities are in 1 pet and the 3rd isnt even needed outside of PVP because of a baseline ability. I want the pets and to keep them. I dont want an effing sentinel pigeon.

I already explained the problem with MM hunters too many times to repeat myself, so I won’t bother.

Okay that’s fair. But they are the head honchos here. They could come up with a compromise solution, but they’re throwing up their hands and reworking the whole thing.

“GUYS! You’re gonna love what we’re cooking up!” “Oh wait, they don’t love it…”
