Cause you want lone wolf doesn’t mean I want lone wolf. Everyone has different playstyles. I play differently then you. If lone wolf means ditching pets then I don’t want it.
I mean… there isn’t a compromise to be made. Even a pet doing zero damage and taking all of the damage the hunter would still gives a lot of tech in mythic plus. You just can’t accept your position isn’t tenable and sticking your fingers into your ears going “LALALALALA” thinking its making a point.
Its why people are just pointing out how dumb your points are now instead of humoring you.
Disagreeing with somebody isn’t sticking our fingers in our ears. We have literally said multiple times. We are fine with pets staying in the spec, even if they perform suboptimally.
Its not disagreement alone you have had it explained to you at painful length why it wont work and you just dont wanna hear it.
And I have explained to you in painful length that they could smooth out the utility issues like with Primal rage that come along with lone wolf
No, you havent your just mumbling off random abilities… you don’t have enough knowledge of the game to even comprehend what is being discussed… I can tell by what your trying here. Its akin to using a word salad and prying the person your talking to gives up.
Look I don’t know what you’re talking about honestly, it just seems like you want to disagree to disagree, but it’s pretty pitiful that there’s people in here who are so open to completely removing pets instead of keeping it an option and perfecting the option.
Blizzard may come up with a compromise if it’s not a balancing nightmare. As I said, simply keeping the pet while giving its utility to the Hunter would either allow for double-dipping in pet abilities or require Blizzard to invalidade a ton of talents and passives every time the hunter summons a pet, which may also come with bugs.
For example, with the revamp, there’s no need for a Mortal Wounds pet because Aimed Shot causes it. You could spec the Hunter into Tenacity or Cunning and then summon a pet of the other spec to stack bonuses. Ferocity pets become almost useless because you already have innate Bloodlust. And Lone Wolf damage would need to be balanced against pet damage again.
Blizzard certainly wants to avoid those troubles. Plus, even if they come with a compromise, it may not be what you want. Would you like if pets just became cosmetic, following you around but not attacking? Or if in order to avoid balancing issues, MM pets lost their specializations and family traits? Would you like if your turtle or bear suddenly no longer held aggro or tanked mobs?
That is my WHOLE point.
What is being discussed is so beyond you that you can’t mount a defense or even put forward a relevant point.
yeah. keeping the pet out is a DPS downgrade for hunter and just an extremely frustrating part of their gameplay. there a difference it’s true.
I’m not a game designer so I can’t give you all the answers but I guarantee you blizzard could come up with a compromise if they actually tried but instead they just wanna go the easy route and remove the pet balancing completely
They tried its why MM has been broken for half a decade…
They have not tried. Lonewolf has been the default for so long just like lonely winter was for frost mage because they don’t care to balance it.
Have they tried?
Lol, they aren’t completely removing pets you get an eagle in Marksmanship spec and Beastmastery and Survival still have free range to pick whatever pets they want.
You can’t really say others should solve difficult questions while not even bothering about them. That’s why Blizzard often skips the explanations, since people won’t listen anyway.
So marksmanship has to get shafted because you can change specs. How about you change classes if you don’t like pets
I’m sorry, but the only explanation that blizzard is giving is that they don’t want to solve balancing issues and they don’t want to put any effort and brain power into this more than they have to
freedom pet is used in PvE. all 3 pet have their use in PvE. because you don’t use them doesn’t mean good hunters don’t.
and that’s the problem : MM pet are just a frustrating crutch they have been carrying along… want to play with pet? go BM.
They have not tried. Lonewolf has been the default for so long just like lonely winter was for frost mage because they don’t care to balance it.
Man, even balancing Frost DK 2-hander vs 2 1-hands is very difficult.
Lone Wolf and Lonely Winter stuck around because they were favored by players, it’s simple as that. If people didn’t like them, they’d have been removed already. The only reason pets are harder to remove like that is because they are iconic.
