How does the way these people play effect you in any way? Let them continue to play in a sub-optimal way if they are having fun doing it first off.
And secondly, Blizzard is the entity responsible here for keeping using the pet as Marksmanship as bad as it is. Everyone would be happy if they just fixed the issues on both sides of the Lone Wolf fence, but they are literally just scrapping it completely to make things easier for themselves.
“Get with the times grandpa! No pets anymore!”. Started playing vanilla WoW since I was 9 years old. Some people don’t take kindly to losing things that mean a lot to them for 20 years.

I enjoy to play the game how I want to play. And as an MM hunter, Yes, I’m going to want to keep my Pet I’ve had over the past 17 years as apart of that spec.
The Minor, minor, talent choice of Lone Wolf needs to be fixed to better meet the needs of those players who have the contention behind the “Sub-optimization” of having to use a macro to summon their pet, cast lust, and then desummon their pet.
Should just be happy Blizzard didn’t go the extremely easy way, and remove lust from the class entirely.

Because that’s really not true. Outside of top percentage.
There is a major difference between attempting and failing due to “A lack of skill”
And not even bothering to attempt it anymore due to the way the community is at those levels.

The issue is that we keep rebutting the reasoning, but we simply don’t agree on what makes the game a good game. One side wants hyper optimization and meta balance, the other side prioritizes fun first whether or not it’s considered the meta. Eye to eye will obviously never happen between us, so we keep going back and forth.
I think hyper optimizing the game like this removes elements that give the game character and allow for varied player choices. I think both parties can and should be given the choice to play the way they want to, in a smooth way without issues regarding utility (summoning and de-summoning pet to lust, etc.)

I shelved my hunter when they took away ranged Survival. I have yet to regret this decision. My main would now be a healer. Based on the changes I’ve been watching, I’m shocked anyone still mains hunter.
Point being, I wonder how many people are in my boat. Hunter feels like an entirely different class now, and not one I’d have ever rolled were it offered in this state when I started in BC and mained until early Legion.

It reminds me of when they completely rethemed Combat Rogue to Outlaw, and made it feel pirate-y. They’re obviously going to do what they want to do I guess.
