Because bad players don’t use it how they are supposed to, if Shamans or Mages did what they are supposed to most of the time you wouldn’t need Hunters for lust at all.
Why play a hunter then? If you want to play without a pet go roll a Warrior? Why take pets away from a class that uses pets as a main playstyle?

The MM spec exists for Hunters who don’t want the pet. Lone Wolf has been a talent for a long time.

What does a pet have to do with AoE?
Shamans were the original bloodlust/heroism class so again Hunters shouldn’t have it as it is and you can’t get it without like a core hound anyway which is exotic and Beastmastery spec anyway so what does this have to do with any type of change to Marksmanship Hunter?
I’m trying to understand the logic of taking pets away from a class that uses pets as a main function. It’s like taking demons away from warlocks so they can have lone wolf themselves. It doesn’t make sense.
Can we please tune to conversation from Class to Spec.
MM does not use Pets as a main function. You sound completely tone deaf saying that.
We do have that because we have sacrifice and it gives a major dps increase if you use it, use it on a felhunter and you are set in PVP or PVE.
So we remove bloodlust from everyone but shaman, okay.
So why are people constantly saying ‘i don’t want to call my pet to lust then dismiss’?
The problem is that each spec is treated as its own class rather than the specs making up the whole. Actually.

Maybe because they shouldn’t have to? I mean again if people played their classes right they wouldn’t have to.
Do you actually think I track everything every pet can do for Hunters, I have only ever seen core hounds do it and that was when I PVP’d a lot which was years and years ago so that was my reference point because they mentioned PVP.

Its not every hunter pet, its 1 of 3 types.

I find this so funny after calling people bad and all that.
Then don’t be defensive when someone calls you out on somethings that is blatantly wrong.
And that’s actually awesome. Each class has multiple fantasies and that’s way better than everry spec being a small variation of the same thing.
