See you get it which is nice because as Warlocks we basically get shafted into using felhunter as Destruction and Affliction and Demonology gets stuck with felguard no matter what which renders the other pets mostly useless, that’s why I’d be okay with us being like Marksmanship though and just losing pets and having a damage buff, better survivability and spell lock in our tree.
I guess that’s a major reason why I don’t see them having their eagle and that being it as such a big deal.
and even those of us that run with a pet don’t always do so. catch me on my hunter in group content, you likely won’t see a pet by my side unless I need to lust. Catch me out in the world, you will likley see me either with a pet by my side, calling it or reviviing it (hey, as MM, sometimes the use for the pet is to hold the mob while I book it out of the danger zone so I can safely feign if not just drop combat)
No argument, but is is the kind of back and forth that happens when people try to put otehrs down without thinking of the chance of the tables being turned.
I do. I just wish if they thought about going that route, they’d rather increase our options for which minion we’d like to use, Including Demonology and the Felguard.
Especially since they just increased our customization options for our minions for the first time in 18 years in Dragonflight. Give me the increased option to use my Fel Succubus, or my Imp, or my Voidwalker, or the Felhunter. Instead of them being relegated to very very fixed positions.
I can’t even tell you the last time I had to actually use “Singe Magic.”
Umm, yes, and I was answering the person who said “MM is the second most mobile …”
Why did you think I was answering you? Did I mistake something in the quoting mechanism? This is a genuine question. I’m new to the WoW Forum mechanics.
Likely because the one you replied to, replied to them, kinda creating a chain vie the quotes. And the fool you quoted cherry picked the one phrase so contxt was missing.
The mechanics are clunky. That’s why they are getting rid of the Pet
Nobody takes the pets in group content aside from 1 utility, which gimps your own damage when you do
Keep the pet is harder to code. They are lazy so they going the easy way and removing it.
This is a lot more than just calling all the Pro Pet side those two things.
BTW, I personally have NEVER called ANY of you baddies. I’ve always said that the High End players are being catered to. That is Blizzards position. I’ve never even said play BM. Anywhere. My position has always been the same. This change is good for me. Group Content person. YOU are the ones calling me a minority and selfish for liking this.
Lets just try 1 point.
I’ve said its harder to code. That part is self evident. More moving parts = harder. If you want them to do it, convince them that it’s worth the effort. Just saying “you can do it” doesn’t cut it.
Sorry, I should have specified I don’t find you pro or anti pet, but neutral and stating the facts and ideas.
I personally, have tried to stay away from the catering to x players argument, most of mine have been more trying to argue for x content gets a abilities, y content gets be abilities, etc.
Keep in mind, while you are not doing it, others are. I expect it to be hard to program, but some of that depends on the path they take, the core is give the group players, and those that play in groups, what they want but don’t take much, if anything, away from those that wat things for solo content.
I said it before, I’d be happy if they took ALL utility away from hunter pets, aside from the pocket tank for solo content, so there is really no reason to have a pet out as MM in any content but solo.
More or less that reduces the abilities of any MM pet down to:
While this may be so… if it is so hard for them to code around the very options they provided to us as players, especially when attempting to have a petless spec within a pet class. Mayhaps working on this game or the hunter spec, isn’t for them.
The very reason we were given back Talent Trees was to give the player options again. To give us agency. To attempt to put a stop on cookie cutter builds. that didn’t happen but it was the design philosophy To take a step back from giving players the agency and options to force the direction of this spec, just doesn’t seem right. especially when its the first major patch of the expansion, with a time-limited PTR cycle.
It’s like becoming a Ford Mechanic, and stating they can’t work on a 2004 F-150. Maybe being that Ford mechanic, just isn’t for them.
well they’ve seemingly already finished making petless versions of all the utility. having a skill change depending on if you have LW or not already exists.
Gee I wonder how it got to that point. Bunch of people start whining and making personal attacks because they think they are in charge of the spec. Guess what. They lost and I am /gloating all over their corpses.
We’re not the ones who started being dismissive with “just play another spec” or outright hostile with “you’re bads for wanting pets”. So you’re just being a sore winner over something that hasn’t even started testing yet.
Gee, I wonder how that happened, some read or saw something on line, got concerns, came and made a simple request only to get called out as whiners and bads by people that think THEY have to right to tell others to suck it up.
Thank you for proving that you and your ilk (those that tell people to suck it up and either adapt or quit) are nothing but toxic trolls that care more about winning then making sure people can enjoy the game.
None of us pro-pet side want to take anythign from you and yours, yet you are ecstatic that we are having something taken away from us. Karma is a female dog though, so keep that in mind if a change you don’t like hap[pens and you are unable to convince Blizzard not to do it.
I wasn’t even talking to you lol and those aren’t my words but nice try. I did say I play BM when I need a pet, and I said we have tools for dealing with what people use the pets for. But if you want to play victim go ahead
What are you even talking about here? I mentioned that other pro-petless people had made personal attacks first. Now you’re crying over, uh, me talking about other people or something. I dunno.
