You’ll get a tank buff from swapping the eagles spec from what Ive read.
Very rarely to this extent. And virtually never mid-expansion. This is a poorly thought out idea that won’t receive nearly the testing it deserves and will leave MM in a lurch as they hammer out buffs and fixes over the rest of the expansion.
I really look forward to the shocked Pickachu faces when it goes live.
It’s a talent in the tree and you can change it from tenacious to cunning, lol.
I legit don’t even think most of the people that have been complaining have looked at the new tree yet or how much of it is tied to the eagle.
Yea og hunter style. Which is something many have been asking for for years.
Safe to assume based on them stopping at the pet being removed, which was the first line out of like 100.
Like I get being upset over the pet. But at least acknowledge all the other awesome things we are getting too.
That’s part of what makes this so funny. The pro-petless people are still going to be anchored to a pseudo-pet. They’re just losing control and customization.
The part that makes this funnier is almost no one wants the eagle.
And even funnier yet, you mock it yet you’ll have to deal with the same exact thing. So what was your point exactly?
Tenacious talent: provides access to endurance training and air superiority, now the first one could be a passive buff to stamina and health, as well as resistance, if not immunity, to CC, the other I am not so sure of.
But it looks like the idea, once again, went over your head, it is not a buff, it would be more akin to how the earth elemental of the shaman operates.
I thin Rankin’s point is they are mocking us for losing the pet, when one reason is we like the control and customization, or at least the latter, and if they complain about losing the customization later, and they might, they will get the "hey, we told you things like this, but you ignored them in favor of mocking us, so if we have to deal with it, so do you: response.
The whole reason they are probably doing that is because they knew certain people would still need a pet because they already don’t play the spec properly so they’ll need a pet supposedly, even if it’s a passive pet.
Devs won’t be like me and others and just be like stop being bads even if that’s what they are thinking anyway.
Remember kids, using the abilities provided to your class makes you “bad”. This has been your silly lesson of the day.
Ok, enough is enough, what is “proper” for you, might not be such for me, what is proper for me might not be siuch for you, but I don’t care how YOU play, I jsut want to be able to play MY way,
But if you really want to pull this line, I will say this: anyone that does not use all tools at their disposal, or at least keeps the option to so so open, is not playing the spec or class properly, and this in cludes pets for MM.
Using pets in Marksmanship is a major DPS loss, anyone that plays it properly since Legion knows this, this isn’t rocket science or new.
Clearly they don’t care anymore if you wanna play Marksmanship how you do, they are going to shaft you into playing it exactly how they want it to be so adapt or don’t play the spec anymore that’s the bottom line.
Likes ratios tells everything.
It’s all about wanting to have their specific cookie cutter build emphasized and brought to the forefront. Even though, that was the very design anti-thesis for why the spec trees were brought back.
Why bother having talent spec trees if they’re just going to “Force” the cookie cutter build anyways? Why bother giving players the “option” if at the end of the day, they’re just going to force the “option” upon the player.
Being dead is a major DPS loss. If a pet keeps you alive, then it is a major DPS gain. The_more_you know.jpg
Actually, one way of looking at this is that this is now that fabled 4th Spec that they are wanting. They are just DELETING “OG” MM altogether. There, that counters all the issues with this spec “always been that way”. It’s not a change to the MM at all. It’s a 2025 MM.
A DPS loss in solo content is minor for some people. I am all for maximizing DPS, where it actually counts for most, but puling the DPS argument in content where some might be looking more into survivability or something just shows how blind some people are.
why are ppl calling the eagle a pet, it’s basically just an animation.
If you are dying that much as a Marksmanship Hunter you are doing something wrong most stuff dies before it even has a chance to get near you, more so if you kite properly as if.
Aren’t you the same person from earlier and the other thread telling me if I want spell lock change my spec, did you pick which spec I should change to yet or are you still thinking because I’m waiting.
I use silly/meme builds while solo all the time. Know why? Cuz this is a video game, and I’m having fun. I don’t do that in groups especially with strangers because I don’t wanna bring the group down. But when I’m solo I can be as sub-optimal as I want and take all the talents I think sound cool regardless of how meta they are. And if I am doing low-tier group content I am way out-ilvl’d for the content I might do a few things sub-optimally too. (as long as it’s not bringing down the group).
Pretty much progression raiding and pushing keys is the only time you need a build that’s as meta as possible because squeezing out an extra 1% dps can be the difference between a clear or not.
