I have even suggested a glyph for the eagle that changed the look, if shown to a pet from the stable.
But the core of it comes down to, if we won’t miss out pet, we will miss the utility for soloing the pet provides. And if the pro pet side has to come up with better then “I’ll miss my pet” then the anti side should come up with better then “lol, look at the whiners losing their pets, this is what I want, all of gthem are just bad and/or lazy”.
People have, play one of the other two specs instead of Marksmanship, play classic WoW, play another class, continue to play Marksmanship and adapt to your eagle, just because you don’t like the options doesn’t mean they haven’t been presented to you, many, many, many times.
I mean, that’s pretty much all that’s been needed the previous times. But it’s not just missing the pet. It’s the utility the pet provides, mainly being able to tank mobs. It’s a massive downgrade in solo survivability.
And none of those are actual options. This “PlAy AnOtHeR sPeC” is silly nonsense that doesn’t even make any sense. And the other options are even worse. So, how about you lot stop crying over this and let MM have their pet back. Then you petless people can start clamoring for an actual petless spec or class instead of ripping away a playstyle that others enjoy.
I haven’t cried at all in these topics, I’ve just been supportive of the change, I think you are thinking of people like yourself because you felt the need to come to the forums and cry about losing a pixel pet most people that play Marksmanship properly haven’t used for years and years and years now.

The fact that MM has had a pet for the last 20 years is a pretty weak defense. It’s their game. “It’s always been done this way” is not always a valid reason to keep doing something. Please note that I put the word “not always” in.
You can’t have it both ways. You can either use the “they are using RP to justify their change” or “it’s NOT too hard to code”.
If its the first then you are done. It’s their RP. If YOU say, you believe its for RP purposes then anything you say is not relevant.
Of course there’s nothing saying that what I’ve said is true or not. That’s why I deliberately used the words assumption. You on the other hand are couching your OPINIONS as fact.

So Survival, which is the melee spec when we want to paly ranged or BM which is more about pet management which is too much for us.

I have toons of all classes, and I like them all, I also have my own way of playing them all.
Most of us likely will wind up doing this anyway, but how about you let us provide out feed back withotuy comeing down on us for our ideas?

That is why this arguement is flawed.
You don’t know if its going to make a return. What you know at this very moment is its being removed for a 2nd time.
All 3 specs could be melee back in the day.

My point was that hasn’t been reversed and its been several years now.
And it WAS useful in overworld, pvp, and dungeonss.
I used mine like crazy back in the day.
Yet there is a precedent of things being removed that were on a larger scale than pets, and they never came back. Let alone got removed a 2nd time.

I gave up on being nice yesterday when I had to block someone else in this these threads and I’m not trying to get along with any of you so called pro pet people anymore, I am hoping this goes through and you have to adapt or move on the game will improve regardless.

You’ll get over it just like the water elemental Frost Mages, just like the ranged Survival to melee Survival people and just like the Combat Rogues to Outlaw Rogues, the game evolves so either evolve with it or let those of us that will continue while you depart.
Its happening. And more than likely its here to stay for awhile. They aren’t going to be making big changes like this and immediately undo them. It’ll be for the rest of the xpac at the very least.
And tbh I see it staying and them just further expanding on it. Hopefully removing the eagle for stable or something.
Fun fact: The game can evolve without taking away options. You lot just seem to be more obsessed with MM Hunters losing their pets than the people who want to keep their pets.
Did I say anything about being “nice”? no, even if you took the same stance as Quiver or Skizzic, more just stating facts and a more neutral stance you could make a lot of head way at leasrt with ones like me. But the fact you said this

Nice idea. Tell you what, I’ll even agree with you and sign a petition for this option. However, Blizz have implied that it’s too hard to do so they aren’t doing it. That’s pretty much it. Unless you can prove to them that it’s not hard, then this particular argument is moot. We can RP justify it however we like, but … it’s their Lore. It’ll be whatever RP they say it is.
They change specs and classes all the time and things are added or taken away and some come back and some never do, this isn’t new, this isn’t going to be the first time and it for sure won’t be the last time so not really sure why you and people like you are acting like it’s the end of the world because it’s not.
Oh, I am not foolish enough to say it is not hard, but my stance is anything worth doing, and especially worth doing right, is not going to be easy.
Except that this is NOT a Democracy. The mob does not rule. It’s their game. They can pull the plug tomorrow and we got nothing.
