Daily reminder. They are. Deal with it.
234 votes for MM pets. 92 against.
I love democracy.
Sadly, Blizzard is more like a dictator and what they say in the end goes. Though really, what is so hard to balance about pet for solo content, pet less for group content? I mean sure, skilled hunters/those that main them in high line content might be able to solo world content with no pet, but how many of us at least like the ability to have one out for solo content?
Damn shame that’s not how any of this works, then, isn’t it?
I made this character thinking, “nah, I don’t need a pet on this one”… but have since fallen in love with my menagerie of undead pets… Blizzard, don’t take them away… add a purely optional talent that doesn’t interfere with access to any existing talent choices if you want… but don’t blanket remove pets from MM… I still haven’t forgiven you for forcing Lonely Winter playstyle on all Frost Mages… I still want my Water Elemental back…
This isn’t a democracy. Papa blizzard says no, they mean no.
Having back alley votes won’t get you any where.
Oh this is not a democracy lol. The decision is already made. It will be on the next PTR.
One that has been made and backtracked in the past. We’ll see if it makes it out of PTR this time.
Didn’t work so well for them in the past.
History, as they say, repeats itself.
Yet they have not backtracked on melee survival that is “hated” so really your speculation is just that. The fact they keep trying tells you they really, really want it this way.
But they HAVE backtracked on no pet option for MM which is relavent here. SV isn’t.
But they keep accepting the fact that players don’t want it on a whole.
It very well could this time, but it is one of those the changes are good for group content, the thing is changes can be good for one kind of content, but bad for another. How much of the backlash in the past was due more to the idea that there are hunters that want pets for solo content.
And the backlash they have gotten each time they have tried before should tell you and them that blanket things are going to be rejected, a compromise like pet for x content, no pet for y content should be the way to go.
Sure is. Change is change. Players do want it. The lazies that can’t be bothered to learn how to CC or kite are just throwing a tantrum.
No, it shouldn’t. I am a “casual” and never use my pet except in delves, in which case I do the rational thing and swap to BM.
Thinking on it a bit more… I could accept this change IF… and only if… the “eagle” skills called out one of our actual pets instead of some random generic eagle… AND it only disabled pets in group instanced content…
Fortunately we are not operating based on what you are willing to accept
In fact, the MM hunter can play without a pet if the player wants to. In practice, what they are doing is take away options, complicating the gameplay for those who need to play MM with a pet, such as PvP players and those who uses pets to farm mobs and instances. It also takes away all the joy for the player of being able to use a pet that took a lot of work to capture.
It’s a bad decision by the devs.
WHich is good for you, because at this point, I would accept the changes to MM if the following happened to BM: BM becomes 100% reliant on the pet, no weapon, no abilities outside the ones needed to tame pets and what the pet has.
If MM is going to be the 100% pet less spec, then BM should be the 100% pet spec, after all, fair is fair, right?
yeah… maybe bm can summon all 50 pets @the same time according blizzard’s “new fantasy laws”
Um… yeah sure go pitch that to the devs and let me know when it hits PTR.
What’s the matter? afraid it could be a compelling argument, and more so when the logic you and others have been using is turned against you?
“if you want to use a pet, switch to BM or survival” becomes “if you want to use a weapon, switch to MM or survival”.
“the lazies that don’t want to learn ho to CC or kite are throwing a tantrum” becomes “the lazies that don’t want to learn how to micro manage their pet are throwing a tantrum”
Maybe don’t mock others or put them down when they are raising concerns, as the tables can be turned by Blizzard in an instant, and you might be the ones throwing fits and, due to the responses you and others have given ones like me, we would just be laughing and throwing it all back at you
