You have a habit of flagrantly disregarding 80% of what people bring up to you. I’m done trying to explain this isn’t the end of the world for MM hunter that a couple of you guys want it to be.
A majority of people wanted MM to be a completely pet-less spec for a long time now, hence why Lonewolf was a thing to begin with, and hence why they’re taking it further and reworking MM the way they are. This didn’t just get propped up out of the blue without any merit.
Do you like having choices? Too bad, you get none.

MM is a spec not a class.
On top of that MM has not been using a pet since legion. Try and keep up.

As I have said, give Blizz time; this is a new system entirely for MM hunter to experiment and upgrade the pet system of the past. I’m sure they’ll introduce glyphs or do something similar to Lock’s pet skins in the barber shop for different types of beasts.
Considering pets aren’t being removed from the class only 1 of 3 specs is not using pets.
It’s a spec that hasn’t been using pets since legion that the majority of players have been asking for pets to be removed from.

Give them time would make sense for a spec that evolves and doesnt go through a rework every patch only to see dozens of buffs just to be back to a rework.
I don’t think you have the data to make such a sweeping remark about the playerbase at large and their preferences on whether or not they like the option of being able to summon a pet or prefer completely petless all the time for Marksmanship.
Lone Wolf was the compromise between both playstyles (petless and with pet) for both types of Marksmanship Hunter player. Now it’s “my way or the highway” for everyone. Blizzard absolutely could have balanced Lone Wolf between using a pet on Marksmanship better— namely, making pet Bloodlust work in Lone Wolf would be the biggest one they could have easily changed. They just aren’t going to, and we have to deal with it now. So long “Hunter” fantasy, hello “Archer” fantasy.

Cool, and as many people said if they just disconnected abilities from the pet ot would fix a lot of issues.

Them giving MM the eagle was the compromise; it was the middle ground between a completely pet-less control system and a pet having aesthetic for MM. MM has hardly used pets outside of PvP for years.
Y’all can’t seriously tell me you enjoy using the poorly functioning two-decade old pet control system lmao.
It’s still a downgrade. Instead of having Hundreds of possiblities, including rare skins, they’ll be relegated for most likely a long, long time into only having the Eagle. (Warlocks only got customization options within Dragonflight)
The Lone Wolf Ability was added for a niche set of players, but over time has morphed into this ungodly requirement.
It’d be like if some Warlock was like “You know what, I hate Minions. Make it so I dont have to have a minion”. They’re no longer a Warlock.
A Hunter, without a pet, is not a hunter.
They should 100% just make a new class for those people who like the hunter class, but for whatever reason dislike the iconic portion of that class, to not have pets.

Anyone playing a gnome, goblin or vulpera should probably at least mildly concerned by a bird of prey following them around.
