What is a “need” and what is a “want”? because the first post was using need and want as validation for X and not for Y.
We either go for the real definition, that both are not needed, is just that people want or we go for the royal “need” and say that lust is needed for higher keys the same way the pet is needed for other content
You cant say lust is needed and pet is not a need for other content and is just that people “want it”, there is a need to be consistent with the argument.
Ergo, when I say ‘need’ it is something that a group wants the class or spec for specifically. These are things like damage profiles (funnel vs cleave vs aoe), lust, specific types of cleanses (like in Siege of Boralus’ last boss, a warlock imp can be very valuable here.)
I have established my meanings. The onus is not on me, right now.
So suggest that instead of hounding me every time I slightly disagree with someone on your ‘side.’ I get real sick of people like you with not a single thought of your own.
You’ve been doing that for a lot of your arguments. So what was your point of besides contradiction?
You are so hard to talk to because all you do is argue semantics and feel the need to one up. It’s exhausting.
No its spins them wheels because we are waiting for you to be with us on this Snow.
Embrace pets.
Accept your inner wolves (there are two, one is Snow and another is Pine).
It’s not about what they want, but what about players want. Which is why they reversed course on this twice before. And are likely to do the same again.
I didn’t read “sorry pets too hard” I read something very different.
What got me is I even stated that I would rather have and not need then need and not have. I never said I needed a pet but I was noding to the idea that it sure is dang handy at times while out soloing, or doing delves.
Speaking of Delves, I checked my hunter’s delve spec (I.E. SOLO content), no binding nor either explosive trap as those are talents, same with Tar trap.
Now My M+ spec (group content) has all of those. So why would the spec for solo content lack them but the one for group content have them? There is a reason I might prefer my M+ spec for solo content.
Which tells me you don’t use a lot of cc if you aren’t using 1 of the main ones, being binding.
It’s an aoe root for a single talent point. It’s massive in all content.
Because you rely too heavily on your pet. My raid, m+ and solo builds all have binding. It’s too valuable to not take.
And funny enough, I actually use binding over tar. If I need extra cc, I’ll take tar.
I play mostly SV, but I will say I’d suggest this for solo content. I never regret having extra stops, and an easy group stop is great.
On MM, I usually just play petless for solo content. I did use one early on for Delves, but I only ran a couple, because as I said I spend most of my time in SV.
For me, my pushback against the changes is purely in terms of presentation. Mechanically, the changes are fine. I just don’t get why they couldn’t work the normal pet into the eagle’s mechanics.
