You really want to compare an entire pet with its own abilities that acts as a dot regardless of LOS and can be fully directed by the player, with explosive shot?
LOL, If you think that the problem is that Blizzard is “tolerating” mediocrity then you are a couple of years too late.
If you think they suck, then vote with your wallet. Unsub.
I think they are doing an ok job. But with this update, I might upgrade it to actually good. But that entirely depends on excecution.
Yes, Blizz have to ALSO stop calling it a pet. We ALL need to readjust. It’s not a pet. It’s more like the Ghost Wolves a Shammy has. That’s about as “pet like” as it gets.
See my post above. Stop thinking of it as a pet. It’s more like a Totem or the Ghost Wolves from a Shammy. Blizz are referring it as a pet at the moment as a weak fig leaf which has backfired.
You can read the discussion between me and another adult, like a good kid.
Granted, though I don’t see how this changes the reality of the variables in question. Only the perception, and to your point they are inconsistent about a lot of things.
Do you think Call Pet being an early talent choice on the class tree would change the situation at hand?
I don’t think of it as a pet. Also this pet isn’t much like ghost wolves nor totems, spirits are a buff that does an inconsistent dot, totems are now just utility buttons with an awkward functionality.
The pet seems to be much more like Dire Beast but with a lot of extra gunk under the hood.
They’re all significantly bigger variables than the pet. I guess we should do away with all of them as well. Get rid of all those pesky abilities next as well. Just one button that does damage. Sounds like a plan, let’s get that right out the door.
The pet accounts for approximately 0% of their tuning adjustments over the past decade. They don’t need to get rid of it to simplify anything about tuning. That’s just some head canon nonsense you’ve cooked up to justify this change.
Yeah sure buddy. That’s why they are citing things like the fact people have to summon and dismiss for lust and access to other pet abilities as part of their motivation to make the change. They are trying to balance around these issues and it’s more efficient to just remove them entirely.
Thank You. And this alone is just more credence to the fact that WORDS MATTER. If Blizzard had just said the pet is gone and made no reference to the idiot eagle this might have been a lot easier. Instead a chunk of the Convo is getting bogged down with semantics about the pet and how people don’t like how it looks …
