Correct. Your numbers actually are 1% above the wowhead ones which say that 4% of profiles have Rash down. It’s known in every game that high endgame is usually a low percentage. This makes sense actually, you play any game you are going to have a shocking percentage of recorded players that barely make it out of the starting zone, you can see this through steam game achievements if you’ve ever done that. Dark souls is infamous for having a fairly high percent of people that didn’t even light a bonfire if I recall.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are many players that reach 80 and quit the game, simply logging in during the content lull right now might actually place you in the minority. That is to say, the recorded numbers of people that may have subscribed or logged into the game in the last 6 months may be high. But how many of those are actual retained players? Not a lot of them I’d reckon. That’s how games work usually new release-> surge of players->majority leaves after 2-3 months->some players retained
That and this weird overreaction like their pets are getting deleted.
I’ve seen some quite literally having funerals for their pets or, and this is almost word for word, pets getting put to sleep… Like…?
There are 2 other specs where your pets actually participate. They aren’t getting deleted…
You can’t tell them that. Next they’ll all be ganging up on you demanding a source.
The massive majority runs LW simply because it is a net loss of DPS for a player to NOT have it. Also because it’s also selected for the player if they choose the “starter build”.
But I’m done here. This is nothing but the same very small few players on the other side of the fence poking fun, belittling us, or simply stating “Go play another spec”.
All we want, is the ability to keep our pets. The pets we’ve had for the past 20 years. But no, Its okay. I’m just a lazy little player, or will gang up on you, or not realize “Omg, theres 2 other specs that I dont want to play that will still have my pets.”
This is literally, History repeating itself ONCE AGAIN, on the same stupid spec over the same stupid thing. And once again, the other side is stating the same thing. 6 years later, and we’re right back at that same argument.
Forums are toxic. There’s literally no coherent reason NOT to allow people who want to play with a pet the option to do so. Zero. None.
People who think Blizzard taking flavor choice away from players is a good thing simply because it’ll confer a numerical buff to the spec are bugmen with the presence of mind equivelant to an ant. Further evidenced by them using their opinion being in the majority (as if they have any way to prove that) as an argument for the choice being removed.

Yeah, that’s certainly one reason. But what if someone simply likes MM the most and likes collecting pets or has one that they’ve been attached to for a long time? Whoops guess they don’t get to use them anymore unless they pick one of the other two as a favorite spec.
This is a boneheaded decision on Blizzard’s part and will anger many casual players who never discuss WoW on the forums or discords. If you think the freak out is bad now. just wait for it to go live.
There literally is. The change makes it so they can focus on the spec being more of the ranger/archer class fantasy. All the pet does is get in the way on MM and it is unarguably better under BM. If you play marks with a pet you are worse as a ranged damage dealer and as a pet handler.
And for the 100 billionth time, maybe this will get through your thick skull. If we wanted to play those specs…. WE WOULD ALREADY BE DOING THAT. We arent for a reason… WE DO NOT WANT TO.
We have what we want right now. An archer with pet spec. We arent asking for something to be added, but to not be taken away.
It would be like “we made a mistake. We are removing the class from specific races.” And you and your ilk just saying adnauseum to go play another race, despite building a story with that character, including race for 20 years.
I know for meta chasers and pseudos, that doesnt matter to you, but it obviously does to a large part of the players. And I get that you dont have a single F to give for anybody but yourself, but other options do exist .
So you can keep blathering on while others try to convince the devs that my way or no way is not the way to go.
