No, they have not. Still need to retain the ability for MM hunters to have a pet if they want to. Just because some don’t does not mean the rest should be punished for having one.

i loved my elemental pet, had it all the time and even for my own personal rp reasons.
the talent lone wolf was all they needed to do, keep and not do anything else.
don’t forget this is a game…players want more options, and not all play to chase numbers.

But it didn’t serve a purpose.
I get some like things for rp reasons, but when it gets in the way of gameplay or makes things harder to update/balance. It should be removed. Especially when it doesn’t serve a purpose any more.
The elemental DID have a use a long time ago. But it just became a thing to have for % damage.
The second lonely winter became a thing. Most mages swapped to that to buff their ice lances for one, but also so they didn’t have to deal with the pet.
I was included in that lol.
It was clunky as is and it needed to be fixed. And mm has been super clunky to play, for years.
I’m actually excited to play it for the first time in a long time.
And as much as I love my pets, it’ll be nice not having to deal with pathing. Them dying and having to stop and rez… and this is coming from someone who has used the same pet since cata.
And what you don’t see is my secondary pet, which I’ve had even longer. Loque’nahak.

Maybe for you, but I was just fine with my pet and it never was a problem. Stop trying to fix things that are not broken. If you hate having a pet so much, go play some other class besides hunters and leave our pets alone.

Stop trying to claim ownership over something that doesn’t belong to you. And stop trying to create your own labels for things because that’s how YOU see it.

All I see is someone who wants to force MM hunters to give up their pets and not allow the option of keeping them. Forcing everyone to play the way you want them to and no choice in the matter. You want things YOUR way and that is in fact YOUR entitlement showing. I asked for hunters to be allowed to keep their pets and you want them ripped away just so you can somehow feel better about yourself for it. Not all MM hunters play lone wolf alone. I have had some of my pets since vanilla and find it absurd that blizzard wants to take them away just to appease a few people who would not be hurt if people can keep their pets. You want to punish people for wanting the option to retain their pets. YOU would not even notice if MM hunters got to keep them, but a lot of hunters would likely be upset at losing them.

The proposed changes solve a problem that is very much in need of solving.
Taking the option for MM hunters to keep their pets is only upsetting people who have had them for up to 20 years. It solves NOTHING to force them to not have pets just because some elitist thinks they hurt his dps if MM hunters get to keep their long time pets that the elitists claim they don’t use. I see a lot of MM hunters with pets out. Not just RPers, but in dungeons and raids.

It’s not taking away the option for hunters to have a pet. They have multiple other specs that continue to have and even focus on your pet.
It’s pruning a mechanic that is out of place with the rest of the spec, and not fun for the player to manage. We’ll see exactly how this eagle mechanic works visually when the PTR goes live, but I expect to be seeing a lot more MM pet on 11.1 PTR than I do now on 11.0.7.

This is a fantasy game where most creatures including wild-life will attack you when it sees you rather then run away.
I’ve already addressed this issue.
Change MM so that all the pet utility is on the hunter. But keep the ability to summon pet for solo play.
You refuse to acknowledge this. Which means you have to counter to it.
My ideas I’ve suggested would make EVERYONE happier. Including petless hunters. Without sabotaging pet hunters.
So it’s not meta, and so it’s not used. Same as with MM pet.

You do not. As I am only in support of using a pet optionally and would primarily be used in overworld but if you do not want to use it in overworld then that’s cool too. Move the lust to hunter.
The only benefit from the voidwalker is holding aggro.
It’s a problem because it destroys player choice and smashes on the legacy of this game.
And those of us who want to keep the OPTIONAL use of pets for MM support changes such as making lust a hunter skill rather then a pet skill. It was bad that you had to do that ever, it always was and needs to be fixed. But it can be fixed without removing MM ability to summon pets. Anyone suggesting otherwise is straight up lying.
Agreed. There are way more hunter players who love their pets then mages who loved their ele. Ele was always nameless little blob. So less sentimentality. So mages might getit back but who knows when. But this will be a merde show on launch day if they go through with this.

A: Make them not pointless. B: LEt them remain pointless options for players who like them.
And yet the ability to summon them still shouldn’t be taken away. How it’s played optimally and what you can do are seperate concepts. No one here is asking to make the pet for MM meta and delete lone wolf.

Maybe the fact that tame beast and call beast are CLASS skills and not SPEC skills.
This is a video game. It’s owned by blizzard but funded by the players. So we’re entitled to our opinion if they want to be entitled to our money.

Which can be done without reoving the ability to summon pets.

A true petless mm spec is something people have been asking for years now. It fits the spec more thematically than what it is now. It’s too bad blizzard isn’t going all the way with it. The eagle is a pointless half measure. Find another way to bake lust and intimidation into the spec.

Sure, I guess. Put in a choice node against double tap (which is back), saying you do 10% less damage, but can summon a pet.
If you’re so attached to that deceptive wrong choice, let it exist for RP reasons.
Only A FEW people might have asked for it, but noone asked for MM hunters to LOSE the option of having a pet. I could only see a few elitist Syvanas fanboys wanting to force that on people so they can lust after petless hunters or something. WHY would anyone want to take all pets away from MM hunters just due to some BS about pets getting in the way in raids or effecting their personal dps. A lot of us don’t care about your raid parses and our pets do not effect you AT ALL when you are in a raid… Leave us MM hunters the option to keep our pets and stop trying to force us to all be cookie cutter dark rangers for your sick fantasy,

Yeah, feels like the no-pet MM crowd is just a few trolls who are trying to upset people who want the option to keep their pets for MM hunters and in fact, don’t really care if the option is there or not because it has no effect on them personally in game. Unless they have some issue that makes them lose their minds at the site of a MM hunter with a pet…
