A place people mostly about theorycrafting/playing top end would even join, let alone actively type in… Definitely a good example.
If you’re going to make that claim without substantiating than I will too and say “Majority” say no to this change and play non-lone wolf.

Maybe they could add a disclaimer that is like “Lone Wolf is best used for optimal play in groups” or something like that. Easy fix. No deception. Player choice is retained.

Your pet is still going to be your primary damage because that is how the spec is built.
You’ll do less overall because of this as well if you move away from pet builds.
Are you trying to make bm less pet reliant? Im am a bit confused by what you are asking.
it’s a deceptive wrong choice, because one answer is just worse than the other.
But we’ve also had this functionality of MM before. in Legion.
That should go without saying since you gain +5% damage for not having a /afk pet.
Or just remove the pet outright since it does little to nothing for mm and make it a true no pet class.
Then we would have a theme for all hunter specs.
Soloist, no pet. Mm.
Some pet integration, some pet focus. Survival.
Pets are primary, and you get way more pet focus. Bm.
Have MM’s pet function like a Monk’s Black Ox Statue. Have for soloing and redirects threat from the player. Doesn’t need to do produce damage, and it’s attacks could just create threat to keep enemies away.
An optional talent that doesn’t need to be balanced as it would not add to dps.

They say in the preview notes that their goal is to make single pet BM viable, but just slightly less damage than double pet.
BM is different play style entirely from MM,
if developers touched their game at least once a month they would know it.

That has nothing to do with my post. It was an informational response to someone talking about the balance of single vs. dual pet BM.

Upset the minority* by removing the dead weight to make changes to the class instead of continually trying to balance this thing that is inferior.
Love fighting rashanan and my pets take 25 seconds to run from location to location. Great change

Or they can remove the inferior piece and improve the spec overall for the majority instead of tip toeing around the issue to not upset the ones mostly using it for cosmetics over function.
What’s funny is they would have made even more happy with this change if they didn’t add the eagle and had removed any semblance of a pet from the spec.

And these guys continue to post, garner not one upvote cause nobody else agrees with them. Besides the ‘Hunter’ players that quite clearly get ashamed they obviously don’t know how to toggle their pet taunts off and get blamed for their abysmal control of a major class feature.
They just sit here and argue about math, sweating and shaking cause nobody cares how they play, or how good they appear in the eyes of no one that matters. Cause we don’t matter to them. And that’s okay, they don’t matter to us.
The rest of us are enjoying what we do, paying to spend time in this game. With our pets attached to MM spec.

Yeah that’s the irony isn’t it.
You still have no evidence to suggest a majority of hunters support this change and while it is an extremely small sample this thread like/dislike seems to indicate a majority dislike it.
