This is such an easy fix without getting rid of MM pet choice.

Hunter: Baseline Hero/Lust across the board, regardless of having a pet out or not

MM: Lone Wolf as a baseline passive when you don’t have out a pet -
Damage buff (Whatever DPS amount your pet provided, easy to calculate; example: 10%) and choose whichever passive you want to get from different pets.
(Clearly you lose those perks once you have out a pet.)

Easiest solution by far with ZERO friction. Makes pets unnecessary for group content but still keeps them available when solo. Why is this so hard to comprehend?

The people posting on this thread are NOT casuals.

Blizzard will do what it takes to keep the lights on. This is not an isolated request. MM players have been asking for changes for ages. The same ones who almost never pull the pet out. Now, will they get it right is a different matter. But the changes are needed. Unlike the pet.

Umm, you actually solved nothing. Whatever the difference you put, whatever the number. Unless having the pet out equals or exceeds the damage buff you get from NOT having the pet, then the answer is that actual MM players who play the high end content will not have the pet out. NONE of them will be keeping the pet out for RP purposes.

THAT is the reason for the friction. Plain and simple. We don’t use pet cuz the pet gimps our damage. So why even bother having it exist?

People expressed hundreds of time here, THEY DO NOT CARE IF FOR THEIR SOLO CONTENT MM HUNTER WITH PET DOES 5% LESS DPS.
