Please don’t remove Hunter pets

Lol give me an example of that because I do it all the time

Theyre taking away a feature Ive enjoyed for 2 decades and told the only options are to play something I don’t want to or to pound salt, when there are other options that both could live with. But people are ignoring those options.

Hey, I said I liked the changes, but I never said I expected Blizzard to deliver on release

I fully expect my eagle to do something like attack everything in the room and killing the party. Or spam interrupting the tank…

Oh come off it, you know what you meant. You’re whining about some hypothetical future where pets won’t matter because they’re purely cosmetic. And you’re still conveniently overlooking that Hunter has an entire spec designed around pet choice mattering.

You haven’t won ether. So there is that.

“Either” here is incorrect,
pro pet folks won with a landslide here.
All eagle supporters scattered and running away.

I like them too, in absolute, looks like they really thought about it and I hope it delivers. Who knows, maybe people will like their new friend. And I play BM anyway !

Buuuuutttttt… I still feel they had an oppurtunity with hero talents that might have be less of a problem balance-wise, and it was double wasted.

Well that statement can apply regardless of the end result. I fully expect there to be people who complain about it. They can give MM Hunters a blanket 10% damage buff and you’ll have people HERE complain about it “for all they’d care”

Well, you see. I main a MM Hunter. Not BM, not Survival. Not anything else really. My alts are just that, alts. I regularly Mythic (though not this season since this season’s Mythics suck) And I have not pulled the pet out in any dungeon in forever. Even when we don’t have lust. My guildie with a Panda Monk tank can pull out drums and that works out EASIER than for my pet to get summoned, lust and then unsummon.

The Pet really is a hindrance for any current end game content.

Holy Priests having kick would be so fun in pvp!! Please!!

Mage casts Fear:
Kick the cast
Mage casts Poly:
Fade immune the cast
Mage casts Poly:
SW:D the cast to break the sheep
Mage casts Poly:
Chastise the cast
Mage casts Poly:
Fear the cast

By the time fear ends, Fade and SW:Death would be off cd (20 and 12 seconds respectively)

Mage casts Poly:
Fade it again
Mage casts Poly
SW:D it again

Edit: with new Poly changes breaking on some damage, not any, can we still SW:Death them?

That sucks, but it’s also just a pet that has little to no impact on gameplay.

It’s like when they removed frost mage elemental and people got upset over this as well.
It sucks, but it’s dead weight on the spec and causing friction with gameplay.

But are they feasible options?

None of us here are devs. Let’s not pretend like we are.

They can fix it so pets are more viable then hinderance. Cause they are devs.

Can they though? It seems like they would have done that vs going with popular demand of lone wolf.

And if pets were less of a hinderance, does it fit their class fantasy?

Does lone wolf have to be there? A whole spec dedicated to one talent point?

I think it is great they are playing up the lone hunter fantasy. Also about time they tuned the various specs a bit cleaner. MM already had very little use of a pet its great that SV/BM will also not have any pets and hunters will have a more uniform reliance on skill and rotations.

I guess… if you can define an entire spec by 1 talent point.

And tbh lone wolf should be baseline and you should have to talent into have a pet.
It would make sense with the specs we have now.
Bm - pet main focus.
Surv - pet secondary focus.
Mm - no pet focus.

Good for M+ andys who dont do anything else in the game, arguably the small fanbase compared to casuals

Bad for everyone else who dont do M+

Fixed for yah

WOW PVP is dead and unplayable so nobody would care anyways.

and raiders* Quite frankly I don’t care about casuals because we both know you’ll stay subbed, buy every new expansion, barely play it, moan about some superficial thing and continue that cycle. Casual players don’t even like the game they are paying for enough to actually play it but incessantly help fund it. Kinda crazy.

This is such an easy fix without getting rid of MM pet choice.

Hunter: Baseline Hero/Lust across the board, regardless of having a pet out or not

MM: Lone Wolf as a baseline passive when you don’t have out a pet -
Damage buff (Whatever DPS amount your pet provided, easy to calculate; example: 10%) and choose whichever passive you want to get from different pets.
(Clearly you lose those perks once you have out a pet.)

Easiest solution by far with ZERO friction. Makes pets unnecessary for group content but still keeps them available when solo. Why is this so hard to comprehend?
