I think the game needs Delve talents in the way that we have PvP talents. A pool of 8 or so things that we can choose 3 of to bring more utility to a class.
For example, give healing Priests Silence and reduce it’s cooldown by 30 seconds for all Priest specs.
Mythic+ or Raids are group content. Should any composition of players, of any spec, and of any skill level, be able to complete the hardest levels just because the gear rewards are better?
It reminds me of “everyone gets a trophy”. Regardless of who you are, your ability, your class, you should be able to complete content that rewards higher level rewards…
I think having the Tier levels makes perfect sense for Solo content. You complete the level you can, get the gear and/or skill, then complete harder levels for more upgrades… some players will get gear faster than you, some slower. Just like every other facet of the game.
I find it funny that the majority of people cheering the current balance are Death Knights. Maybe DK is OP and needs a balance nerf? I certainly looks like they are over performing.
Not really, I just didn’t think people would try this hard for a delve, that’s all.
If the game let’s you do it, by all means, do what you can if that helps you.
I’m just the kind of player that commits to a talent loadout for a long while before even attempting to swap.
Mage squishiness has been the bugaboo of the class since WoW began. The Devs never seem to realize that making the mobs so fast means the mage is usually a melee fighter, not a spell caster. “Kiting” is no solution since you run out of space and cooldowns too fast, and melee never have to kite under normal circumstances. Spellcasters need better armor, more health and better shields, or a warlock-like tank.
I know what to do and when to do it. A +4 delve says ilvl 547+. I can hardly finish it on toons ilvl 565-575 without using all my lives.
The + system is broken. It doesn’t scale properly between +3 and +4. I can roll through 3s without a worry. I do a +4 on properly geared toons and get nay nay’ed into next week.
The amount of HP and armor between 3 and 4 was enormous and doesn’t match the recommended ilvl listed for the delves.
If you put on your reading glasses and put even a little bit of effort into it, you will be able to comprehend that I was referring to the fact they were promoted as solo content, but dropped high ilvl gear/vault slots.
Mythic+, Raids, Certain bosses, PvP comps, all have builds that might work better in certain situations. One boss might have a bunch of adds, so you need more AOE ability, some might be more single target, so you’d be better of switching to more single target abilities, so on and so forth.
You don’t have to get too weird with it, just swapping a talent here and there can make a big difference.
I tried doing a T8 in a group and left because the hunter kept standing in crap. I went and soloed all my t8 keys as a resto druid. It was a lot of fun. I dont think Delves should be doable in a group. This should be purely solo content.
