So Dark Souls…yeah because that’s what we need in MMORPGs with ESSENTIAL weekly thing. Punishment for essential content is not cool.
So much tears XD
Good thing you’re a Demon Hunter, open world content is trivial for you whether it’s world quests or The Maw.
If it’s the only place to collect it it will not be well liked, If not I will not be spending much time there, it does not sound like fun at all. I think it is going to be another failed system like most of BFAs
I’m switching to enhancement because changes to it are sweet and maelstrom bar ruined it. Or rogue, because its a fun class overall and the opened skills for all specs are a great qol changer.
You don’t lose your stuff though. Again you can just recover it.
This basically just Minecraft lol. You people are blowing this out of proportion.
Also they don’t expect you to go into the Maw every day. Maybe twice a week or as much as you want if you play it smart.
Blizzard is implying that you can resurrect in the Maw by saying you can retrieve your Stygia. So if anything, this is actually a better system than Horrific Visions, which is infinitely more unforgiving for stupid mistakes than The Maw will ever be.
Also you are a warlock, you literally have a pet that can tank for you, a boon to all solo-leveler inclined classes. The Maw should be no problem for you.
We all know the required currency will be so easy to get the dying part will be at best a minor inconvenience. Now if you die all the time to mobs that deal 0,5% of your exp thats on you.
I’m not that worried about it, I just think it a really stupid Idea. There will be cases that you will not be able to recover what you lost and it will not be well liked. Especially if it’s not your fault you can’t get back to collect it.
if I can’t kill the jailer with a broken sword and an iron will I’m gonna be pissed
If you can’t explain these cases of points of no return, or if you can’t show anyone that what you’re saying is not a made up reason to not even attempt it, then what you’re saying has no real weight behind it.
Ayy lmao, go do actual content. Dark Souls can be won by the simplest playstyles. But people refuse to do them because the possibility of those games not being hard hurts their ego.
Are you actually arguing dark souls dosent require skill.
Servers go down. Can’t get back to your body because some stupid mechanic knocked you off a cliff. People camping in warmode, which I will never have a problem with. There is a lot that can go wrong and you know how murphy’s law works.
It’s not a deal breaker, I will live with it but it does not sound fun or interesting. Guess we will have to wait and see.
I just think something like this is going to cause more problems than it should.
I have 800 hours in Nioh 1, 500 hours in DaS2, 200 hours in DaS1, 350 hours in DaS3 and around 3 playthroughs of Sekiro, one of them being a Charmless Bell run on NG, which makes you start with no healing items.
They only take skill if you want it to. Most Souls players play dumb on purpose. Otherwise there are really easy ways to win. Most people even refuse to use a shield because of the chip damage, which would let them win more if they knew how to manage their stamina regen. Most people don’t use items or magic. Most people don’t even think about what they’re doing with the environment or playstyle wise. Most people think that abusing half a second of iframes is skill. Buy Fire Pine Resin from the sewer merchant and kill the Bell Gargoyles in 4-5 hits? Yes sir.
Thanks for explaining why dark souls requires skill.
If the servers go down when you’re doing The Maw, then that is a consequence of your own inability to plan around Blizzard downtimes.
What are the chances of you getting knocked off a cliff at all? Do you know what the playable area of The Maw looks like? Is that statement backed with extensive Alpha testing? Probably not because The Maw isn’t even open on the Alpha I don’t think.
The only part I’ve ever experienced getting knocked off a cliff was in War Mode and in the Freehold Dungeon on the last boss that caused the boss to reset cause he went out of bounds by the deck.
Oh so your brain works in reverse? I guess that’s your average Souls fan right there. No wonder people think the series is hard.
Least its working
Let’s hope ddos attacks are told to us ahead of time so we know not to go there, Blizzard servers go down quite often without any warning, It just happens. You know it gonna happen and it’s just going to cause a lot of unneeded problems. But it’s something I will have to live with, I still think it’s a bad idea.
