It will not be like Dark Souls, even Mythic raids are not like Dark Souls.
Then that’s your fault. You shouldn’t have jumped off that cliff.
There’s nothing really bad about it. It just makes the most dangerous place in the cosmos more dangerous.
This is an edge case at best. How often are you going to die falling off a cliff where your body is unrecoverable? Be less reckless with your running around if that’s the case.
I’m being honest here, I can’t envision another scenario aside from terrain-based issues where you couldn’t get back to your body. If you find yourself in such a scenario (such as dying in a big pack of elites), that sounds like bad decision-making which led there.
There’s alot of people who are still computer illiterate in this day and age, and need to be reminded how to do everything no matter how long they’ve been doing it. I’ve seen some people whos main job it is to type stuff up like letters, pay roll ect, they have to type out every key individually by looking at the keyboard and slamming their finger down one letter at a time. Its physically painful to watch.
Castlevania and Zelda weren’t popular because of their difficulty. There was pretty much nothing like them when they released, and they definitely hold your hand at parts. You can only go in one direction in Castlevania lol
I never use warmode but the tears will be epic because of camping people til they lose everything. This is a bad decision it will not go over well. There is always one zone that is hated, like nazjatar, and it looks like the maw will be the one in this expac. I will play thru it once to get my loremaster and probably never go back.
Oh well thats not darksouls.
Darksouls you lose ALL your souls, not just half of them.
If wow was being made like darksouls you’d lose it all. Oh and you’d have to solo every boss with only 3 health potions (unless you found the hidden upgrades).
On a serious note, I dont see this as a big deal. Like most endgame zones any competent player will likely be fine. And if you hit a point that you don’t want to lose what you have, end it and get your rewards.
I’m not overly concerned about it and actually look forward to it a bit.
There are simple solutions to the war mode side of this equation that don’t need to involve scrapping the mechanic altogether.
I like the idea of the game getting harder that doesn’t involve speed running mechanics.
Like I said I will never use warmode for any reason. but this will not go over well, and should be changed. Does not sound like a place I will go to very often if at all.
I’m sure the majority of players will be fine.
Wait Warmode is a thing in this zone? Hmm, how would that work lol.
More dark souls is always appreciated.
Must be nice.
It’s the entire point of the zone. It’s a dangerous place where you’re surronded by enemies that want to end you. I think it’s a great idea and Blizzard should stick with it. Afraid of loosing your currency then don’t push it but for those that choose to take the risk and get extra but die then yeah punish it
Given Blizz penchant for things blasting players through the map or into terrain, it’s pretty reasonable to expect it won’t be intentional or avoidable
Half Life had that effect on me.
Then there should be no problem leaving this stupid mechanic out of the game. Why Blizzard is putting in punishment mechanics is really, well stupid. I bought world of Warcraft not World of Dark Souls. It was not fun with corruption and visions and it will not be fun in SL.
No, in Eve when you die, you lose everything. You get half of it back if you get back to where you died…that is, unless someone else gets there first
You have yet to explain why this is a problem?
Oh so you don’t like failure meaning failure?
Okay. I see. You just want things handed to you. Is that right?
