I never do low level BGs because of the twinks. Players that twink are usually not the ones with the best character outside of twinking. I would say the word I want to say, but the mods won’t like it.
I know the thread has become quite large so I will outline specifically what I have proposed in regards to this as it is not as simple as you imply.
To get certain materials for enchanting, you have to DE certain levels of gear to get the materials to enchant said items. I.E. You cannot get Large Brilliant Shards from level 20 items. If there were some method in place to detect what enchantments a character had in low level pvp brackets, it would also dictate that the enchantments they have are, for example, available only from farming MC, AQ, BWL, Naxx and etc.
Thus, even if they had ANY of those high level enchantments (just one) crusader or +5 one hand, or +9 2hand enchantment, it would place them in a queue where they would face people who have the same items. Now to be fair, and to implement this in a way that would please everyone (except the twinks who just want to free farm people and have an unfair advantage) there would have to be some sort of option to toggle so as to indicate whether you wanted to queue for twink pvp, or non twink pvp, or both.
This is entirely inaccurate. At launch there were up to 10 separate instances in every pvp bracket except for 50-59. Please provide proof of your claim.
I know a lot of people twinking at 19 on pservers don’t have a lvl 60 main. They fish to get gold and buy their enchants like everyone else. Just admit you don’t want people that invest more time in their character to be stronger than you.
Stop projecting. Just because that’s the reason you twinked back then doesn’t mean everyone who twinks does it for that same reason.
We aren’t getting BGs at launch and we are most definitely not getting a constant influx of levelers either, especially not by the time BGs open. This isn’t the same situation as Vanilla.
I said will, as in that’s what I’m predicting. Please provide proof of your claim yourself since you’re the one claiming 20% of a server’s population was in WSG.
Twinking was in vanilla and it will be in Classic. Take your issues with retail twinking somewhere else, thanks.
Here is why you are just crying for your own selfish wants. Being lvl 11 instead of 19 will get u rolled. If you are a warrior lvl 19 a lvl 19 hunter will roll you. Nothing is fair in vanilla PvP especially lower lvl brackets. That’s just the nature of the game. Even if what you want gets put in it won’t be fair. You want fairness but what you suggest does not and cannot create that. So just stop being selfish.
So for the OP, I have a question about your proposal. What would you say to splitting the brackets up more, so that level 11 can’t WSG against a 19? A level 11 really can’t have appropriate gear to compete with an even remotely competent 19, who might have picked up a blue or two from DM or WC. That power discrepancy is not dissimilar to regular 19-twink 19.
To be clear, I absolutely think it would be terrible to divide the brackets up even more based on level. The battlegrounds are what they are. I just want your take on if it’s a good idea or how it would be different than what you’re proposing.
yes! those brackets are so dead on ND its sad. the last thing we should be talking about is splitting up the players, or demanding same server bg queues
its not because people are avoiding twinks, its hard to even get 10 people on a team on either side. twinks are hardly running rampart
this is on a server that usually has 8-10k people online
You could have read my initial post but y’know, ignorance/laziness. Thus I explained the idea thoroughly in case you were someone unaware of the idea and the concept behind it. Thanks for your input, though!
I’m sorry but this is still incorrect. You weren’t around at the original launch of vanilla judging from your response because there were upwards of 5-10 pvp instances at any given time before twinking became a thing.
What I think needs to happen is the community needs to engage and start grouping with like minded people so that those activites do happen. So that server communities are built that last for years.
You know what I meant, but just for the sake of clarification I obviously meant when they were available.
I actively play on ND and I know what you’re talking about but your point is not a valid argument because the pvp on those realms is dead primarily due to the fact that the majority of people that still pvp on ND are twinks in pvp guilds who communicate via discord to set up premade pvp battles on both sides. I am in one of them.
When those aren’t being coordinated, you’ll rarely ever find anyone pvping. This is an effect of twinking.
i dont buy that at all. there are not enough twinks to be worried about. its hard to even get 10 on 10 games going. when you do get in there might be a twink, or it might be like 5 level 12s
ive seen lots of games with no twinks at all, and it ends early due to not enough players
If you think that this isn’t because twinking is an issue then I don’t know what to tell you. Again, I am in one of the guilds on horde side that regularly pvp in the 20-29 and 30-39 brackets.
Again I don’t really care what you buy or not because as stated, we co-ordinate with alliance twink pvp guilds on alliance side for the very reason that if we don’t we’ll be sitting twiddling our thumbs for hours because no one pvp’s because they DO NOT WANT TO FACE TWINK PREMADES.
It is RARE that you get bg’s without a single twink on ND.
its not because of twinks bud, there are not enough of you to be worried about. its because there is no real incentive to do low level pvp other than for fun
anyone can say what you did too with out backing it up
