Twinking is part of the experience of the game.
I never twinked, I don’t care too much for PvP. Although PvP servers are the only ones I roll on.
However, I’m surprised this thread has gotten this big. I’m certain, without a doubt, to be murdered by twinks in the coming Classic.
Fallanaa has always been anti PvP. idk why he’s even bothering with this thread since I can’t imagine he’ll be participating in it.

MoP really ruined enchanting profession by down scalling enchants in their own level of content.
All that stupid gear/level scalling and class template crap really screwed it up along with exp in bgs too many bots leveling in greys made bg while leveling boring.
Spamming arcane barrage people in leveling bgs on an arcane mage was neat but got old in cataclysm, some of them died in 1 hit most cases it was like 3.
Well twinking was enjoyable, over leveling sucked but it was worth it when you didn’t over leveled while getting the gear you needed.
Only thing that needs to be disable are the accounts of people who are asking to disable twinking/gearing from bgs in a rpg.
Yep, no xp in BGS and when they added it they also had to add an xp lock because they realized they were going to lose a bunch of subs if they made twinking impossible.
They only changed the face of twinking. Twinks became those with enchanted heirloom gear (higher ilvl than any gear you could find at the level you could equip it, had higher stat budget) and the gear disparity became even greater as you leveled in the bg which was an even more hostile environment than before. I had to give up low level bgs entirely because of it as I didn’t even have the time to get the heirlooms because of the nature of dailies being daily activities.
There was a bug, took them a while to fix.
Don’t engage Ziryus, you are wasting your time. His thought process is flawed and he goes on ego trips telling people how things where without any knowledge past his assumptions on it. He is always right in his mind and will never accept anything that is based off information that he chooses to selectively ignore.
Well when bg ques became long and none existant people started heirloom twinking and jumping in leveling bracket making new toons just to do low level bgs.
Bg ques for leveling bracket was horrible hardly anyone qued for them for a very long time period, eventually there started to be more queing for them the game still hasn’t required much from it.
Twinking will be sure to return in classic, the twinking on live bfa has been horrible since mop or cataclysm, cataclysm wasn’t as bad though too much class imbalance.
While I can understand the OP’s argument I can’t agree with it. It needs to be how it was in Vanilla or it changes Classic to be something other than what Vanilla was like.
It’d be great to get a twink community going. Shoot for organizing on a server at or shortly after launch.
The matches would much more fun, better chances for queues to pop.
Once the server is named/known the leveling crowd could try to avoid it.
ok man look if u wanna bg then u should have to deal with twinks… twinking is a huge community and they killed it by separating it twinks are fun and from what I heard blizzard killed them now they even more people after bfa. If you wanna level up do dungeons don’t sit here and complain because ur dying they sat there a grinded for there stuff if u don’t wanna die then do dungeons arenas or something but blizzard taking away twinks from bgs with others in my opinion is the dumbest thing they have done they killed a community that was strong now you rarely see twinks and if u do they sit around cause they cant do anything. there not going to pay there sub obv so u sitting here sayin twinks r to much don’t battleground then is hasn’t been a problem till now me and all my twink friends jus canceled are wow sub cause of this problem fix it blizzard hopfully you see this cause if you do bring it back guaranteed youll get more subs instead of the small amount of people complaining.
no dude that’s not at all how it should be twinking is a part of the game you should have to deal with it if you cant handle it make a twink or just dungeon your way up to were there r no twinks
I don’t get it. Should we all run around in grey gear so we can be equal in gear and competitive spirit? Or should we be try our best, to do our best, to get the best gear possible? I dont get mad at players who twink, I get mad when I get outplayed. If you can tell when you’re outplayed you’ll know if the gear was the reason.
Full disclosure - I didn’t read your massive post and I don’t need to. But you seem to lack some insight or base your entire view off assumptions that ‘twinks’ only compete to ‘destroy’ under-geared players.
I’ve played in many twink brackets in vanilla - We play there because the BGs play differently at those levels due to relative access to gear/talents/mounts. And for the most part, both factions have an equal participation in twinking so things are often pretty fair with the average sample of players in a BG. Despite what you think; Those BG brackets were highly competative and fair.
What do I do between queues? I find red level players to go fight in OW PvP to make them feel bad about themselves.

Ummmm no. That would be a terrible idea. It would change the way things were in classic, and I hated when they took away twinking. Twinking is no fun if there aren’t normal geared players around… people like you are why the game went downhill. Just shut the hell up and go away.
That wasn’t a bug. That was a feature. XP-off characters were relegated to their own battlegrounds. In one fell swoop, every non-19 twink never saw a game again unless they were so hardcore that they joined a community on a special battlegroup.
Most heirlooms were actually not best-in-slot. Hard to prove now since the stat squish and subsequent re-budgeting of all twink items, but not one really good twink had a single heirloom item.
It got tested.
It was bugged.
There was literally two full WSG teams (horde+alliance) in discord together that qued at the same time and after 45+ minutes of waiting they confirmed the bug as the que didn’t pop for any of them. When two full teams were ready to face each other. They tried quing as Individuals and it still wasn’t working.
It took blizzard a month + to fix it.
