You actually believed that? You know they’re paid off shills right? And I’m not even going to bring up the sheer number of bot accounts. World of Warcraft has not been the world’s number one MMO is years, and everyone knows that. It used to be king of the hill.
I want my archeology back too.
I’d love to have First Aid back, but Blizz would probably make us to it at a “table” and I’m so sick of professions requiring us be standing at a specific table. Ugh!
Agreed. There are so many stories and quests that could potentially tie in with Archeology and it’s all being squandered.
AGREED! Maybe for the odd epic or legendary type item, but not like this.
You are wrong, WoW has 400k players, and is ranked the #1 MMO by Twinfinate.
I’d share the link, but I can’t so I won’t.
Putting aside the bots, those numbers account for WoW Classic and all its subvariants. They made classic because their numbers were falling. Retail WoW is getting a lot of complaints and many of the best streamers and gamers have abandoned it.
PS: Active players doesn’t make it popular. Streaming wise, WoW sucks, and it got booted out of E-Sports a long time ago because it was too disorganized. Ultimately, Classic is a short term fix.
You can dig up as many potions as you like and it didn’t hurt anyone. If first aid could craft them it wouldn’t hurt anyone either.
The problem with these numbers is, like Xidane says, that many of them are multiboxers on bot accounts. If I see 25 bots gathering with my own eyeballs, and I’ve only seen 25 legitimate players, I know the sub numbers are not entirely accurate.
The fact that Blizz looks the other way on multiboxing and botting to sell gold, does not indicate that WoW is a better MMO because of the higher sub numbers this creates.
Perfectly said
I’d rather have shorter times on current in game heal methods than First Aid again, although, it’s not gone, gone is it?
It’s just like that really old aunt sitting in the corner at the funeral everyone thought they were at for in the first place.
“Oh man, she’s not in the casket? Who is? Are we at the right place?”
Additionally, Season of Discovery cranked up those numbers temporarily for some time. What does that tell you? That maybe people like the classic experience.
Their reason for removing it was due to all classes having some kind of self-heal.
Also, Cooking filled pretty much the same roll, though it would be nice to have recipes that provided a resistance to poisons, diseases and curses (does not work in PvP, of course).
SoD is not 100% vanilla.
Roll era paladin. It will show jsut how nice SoD getting crusader strike is at like level 4. as the era era paladin you play a fun game.
Will your 30 second seal die out before you see miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, hit.
It was useless unless you where doing arena
Yes, I once played a Paladin back in the beginning days of WoW and it was different, however, Season of Discovery is an actual expansion of classic Warcraft gameplay. The world, the questing, the professions, basically the way everything was back then, but with fun modifications. It’s what should have been in a lot of ways instead of dumbing down the game like they have.
The game’s current issue, is oversimplification and watering down of all the wrong things, ie: story, questing, leveling and so on, while bloating the classes with spells they’re not supposed to have and removing almost all strategy from the game. Classic had it right, just make new content to go with it.
It was great in questing and world PvP. If I trapped them and took cover somewhere, I could heal right up. Same in raids. First Aid has saved my butt in just about every area of the game.
dumbest change. so sick of them ruinin professions
First aid was a staple of world PVP and also healing others in BGs.
For PVE, it was even more important to help healers out but also for soloing. I completed so many quests labeled 'group" because of bandages and first aid…
People are still using garbage bandages? What?
It was important back in the day, but they haven’t been relevant for a longggg time.
100% Agreed!
You didn’t even read my post. I proposed an upgrade that would make them viable. If you’re going to comment, then you should at least have the courtesy of reading more than just the title.
As for bandages currently sucking, yeah no kidding, that’s exactly why I wrote this. Currently tailoring bandages are complete garbage now and many classes have too many self heals that they’re not supposed to have. The self heals on most classes need to go asap.
Yeah, it was nice to take alts for spins…get some fabric, ship off to the tailor.
Another tww feature that had me wave off. I still get this in the old wow. My tailors are s. priests. I don’t always run them. I like them, but not main like them lol. and when run its more pvp focused. I like them there.
Mana is not so much an issue. If I get OOM its a good thing. It means I’ve not died in a good while to actually be casting my butt off.
for the non tailor folks…well, its was extra gold. Probably why killed. Fun was detected.
