It’s not good for your health if you need more then 50 chars, its a sign of huge problems that needs to be taken care of personally.
Don’t try to act pedantic and like you have a damn clue what you’re talking about. You know nothing about how anyone plays or how often they play or what their life situation is.
All you’re doing is offending literally everyone and it’s sickening. Get some perspective and some human decency.
The only one getting offended is you. Telling someone they need help if they maintain 50 chars and want more is great advice. No one truly and realisticly has time to play 50+ chars a day, that means your sitting too much at the PC and damaging your back for starters all over virtual farming characters that takes hours to play each, possibly almost a full day cutting out proper eating time and exercise.
I’m the only one calling you out, you mean. Your ignorance towards those who may be disabled is astounding. Or those who are retired. Or those who may be currently on medical disability and unable to do anything else. How’s it feel to attack someone who may be wheelchair bound, hmm? Geebus, do you even think before you type or do you just go out of your way to act so disrespectful?
And this is your delusion and not REMOTELY how people play. But you’d rather show your ignorance towards such things and throw out insulting comments instead.
You are truly out of touch and acting horrendously insulting.
Before I get myself banned for calling you things I can’t say on this forum, I’m not even reading any more ignorant drivel from you.
Your the only one insulting in this thread, I said what I did with care and good will, I didn’t think of that however that they might be disabled or recovering in bed and you have a point there.
chuckles
You’re not much into making stories huh?
This is WAY over due.
My suggestion is usually the inclusion of all three of those with an additional increase to the length of the name field to better accommodate last names. Something like 32 characters.
Isn’t the cap over on SWTOR something like 100+?
That sounds good to me.
Agreed. I’ve got a zandalari character I’d love to add an apostrophe to just like existing NPCs can have.
I do think a longer name field would be a good addition as well.
There is no reason for the character cap at this point.
Same here!
Then give folks the option to hide the last name.
Is it better to have access to the names you want or to look for reasons to not have last names that could then be hidden?
Me too, especially if they do make a new Tinker class.
I guess, but that wasn’t what i had in mind. I would make it a separate template/pane and then make it optional to be hidden. In that way people could get the names they want (first names) to go by and if it was a duplicate they would just have to create a last name that was different to open it up, allowing people to then have it show or hide it would solve the problem of races that don’t have a last name.
Please explain how it is ‘old-fashioned’.
Let folk pay for let’s say 10 character slots with a one time purchase and just add it to the account you want.
Why would Blizzard do that when they can get two expansion prices and two on-going sub payments a month the other way?
There are 12 classes. That’s 36 specs. So the max number of characters I’d ever have would be 36. Although I don’t want to think about what trying to complete Legion invasions on 36 characters would have been like. lol
Why would Blizzard do that when they can get two expansion prices and two on-going sub payments a month the other way?
You misunderstand, but thats my fault for not being clear. They wouldn’t remove the current format. This would be another option for more character slots.
I don’t want to see people with more than one account get messed up over this.
To answer your question though: They would still have that option and still get that money as many folk would still use it. However, they’d extend the amount of money they can get from players who refuse to do so and still want character slots…
Me in particular, for instance, would use that system considerably. I hate having characters on separate accounts so not only would I still likely be paying for a long while for my two accounts, I’d be buying transfers to move characters from my second account to my first one as well as buying the character slots for that first account.
They’d stand to earn more money in the long run and get some goodwill from improving the range of options.
Although I don’t want to think about what trying to complete Legion invasions on 36 characters would have been like. lol
Biggest issue was time. Other than that it was mostly fun. Got kinda repetitive.
They’d stand to earn more money in the long run and get some goodwill from improving the range of options.
That is not what the math says.
Sorry, Blizzard is not going to offer this service unless they were making comparable money to someone having a second account which would mean an upfront cost and a monthly cost.
If players really want something, they need start being more realistic about their asks and what they are willing to give or give up for it because there is no such thing as a free lunch.
I have 3 words for you, Big Love Rocket
And thank God I finally got the Love Rocket this year after 14 yrs of farming it…with tons of alts.
I don’t want to think about what trying to complete Legion invasions on 36 characters would have been like.
Depends on what type of person you are. Back in BFA if the emissary was 2000g I was doing 50 of them a day When Timewalking comes around I do a dungeon on all my alts, which really isn’t that much if you only have 50 characters, it’s 50 characters / 7 days or ~7 dungeons a day. Does 7 dungeons a day sound like too much? I usually did more and finished all 50 by Friday or Saturday because I don’t mind TWing dungeons (when tuned well).
No one truly and realisticly has time to play 50+ chars a day,
Your concept of “playing” is flawed. It sounds like you assume that we are raiding and progressing on all these characters.
No one is raiding CE on 50 alts, and if they are, hats off!
But I probably spend as much time playing all my toons equally as someone who raids CE on 3-4 alts.
That is not what the math says.
OK.
I’m gonna keep on asking.
it’s 50 characters / 7 days or ~7 dungeons a day.
I’m kinda like this too, I rather take 1 step on 10 characters than 10 steps on 1 character.
Then give folks the option to hide the last name.
Or give folks the option of hyphen, apostrophe or space (for your precious last name).
Why are you so against this?
Is it better to have access to the names you want or to look for reasons to not have last names that could then be hidden?
It’s better to have more options for names than just a last name.
I would make it a separate template/pane and then make it optional to be hidden.
And last names don’t always make sense so why limit someone to not being able to change their first name or follow their rsce’s naming conventions, when we could have BOTH options all in one?
The only one getting offended is you.
False.
Telling someone they need help if they maintain 50 chars and want more is great advice.
What is this “maintain” you’ve suddenly brought in to move the goalposts?
