So whats conna happen after those servers are full of gdkp bots a d millions of gold
-pls blizz giev tbc PLUS or tbc FRECH
-here we go again.
I am amazed that classic people havent recognized the same attern every single “mode” or expansion that released under the classic tag.
Hopefully blizzard adopts a scorched earth policy with cheaters.

I disagree for the most part. You are not entirely wrong, but there are players that aren’t even in the game right now because they want no part of what Blizzard is offering currently. So players like myself would come back for a TBC server. There are people that want the additions that came with TBC, yet without the further changes that were added in WotLK. Add in players that are currently subbed, but prefer TBC, and you can have a viable server.

It actually doesn’t make sense that you think BC is the second worse xpac if you love vanilla. So much of BC is just vanilla on a different continent. Your opinion is objectively nonsensical.

Go see the populations on private servers.
Correct. TBC is very SIMILAR to Vanilla. Is it Vanilla? No. But nothing else comes closer and that is the point. Players that want a TBC server have an affinity for Vanilla, yet we want a little more than what Vanilla offers. TBC was the original Classic+.
Blizzard, start a slightly modified TBC server, keeping everything close to the original, except update the level 60 raids to be level 70 end-game raids to allow for players to have a little more playable content. And also allow for characters to be transferred from Classic Era to the TBC server (and even from TBC back to Classic Era).

wrong, only problem was the raid comp math group by group which mandated each caster need either a ele, chicken or shadow priest for arcane and locks. Or each four melee needed an enhance because they added like 25%~ damage via their unique buffs.
Really liked the raids many which would keep you on toes not because of the super precise rotation but because many bosses would send you to the danger zone.

There needs to be at least one Era server for each expansion, but TBC and Wrath for sure. The Burning Crusade is too good to only have the quick flash in the pan that was TBC Classic. And it would cost virtually nothing.

Exactly. One server would barely be a blip on their budget.

I never mentioned store boosts, I just think for catch up gear having some incentive to have boa or limited tradeable badges would increase the motive of all to raid as the badges would go to the char which most needed them. Though tbc has casual raids which don’t need gdkp and still give good loot.
I am not sure token would ruin tbc era as given the loot is more scarse like in vanilla but with 2-3 pieces per 25 rather than 40 selling carry runs would probably be out with people selling specific items. I do not think they will be able to market with just the increase of return of subs once cata reduces the number of subs, but they might if they can have players just pre-buy the glaives.
Fully support the OP! Give us a TBC server!!!

Hot take, but I never really played TBC in the older days, I was a wrath baby through and through. When we came to TBC classic, it became my favorite expansion of all time ahead of wrath and MoP.

Perhaps a compromise that wouldn’t fragment the community so much would be an “original trilogy” progressing server? Vanilla->TBC->Wrath over the span of, say, three years? Then it resets? Peep my post: Am I in the minority with how I think Classic WoW should go?.

It is an interesting idea. I just think it would fragment the community along different lines if it was implemented. I wouldn’t want my progress to be reset and have to start from scratch again. If I wanted that, I would just roll a new toon. So I could see many players not wanting to participate in a plan like that. Although, I can see many players wanting to do that. This is why I think having three dedicated classic servers (Era, TBC, and WotLK) would work better. Allow for transfers and people can progress voluntarily if they want.
Blizzard could start with a single TBC server, allowing for transfers from Era after a month or two. If the population proves to be healthy and robust enough, then add in a WotLK server a year later. If the TBC server isn’t healthy, then end the project there. Hopefully they won’t have any other gimmicks going on at the same time diluting the experiment.

yeah I think it’s a good idea to have at least one or a few of these kinds of things at least at as a minimum for historical reasons
