Please Blizz, One TBC Server

TBC is one of my favorites. I would prefer it over Wrath.

except D4 drastically changes things by always scaling the monsters with your level, which is nonsense and just lazy game design :expressionless:

imagine if boars in dun morogh spawned at lvl 60 because a lvl 60 was hanging around nearby.

It is up there, but I believe dual spec, mount tab, wrath bgs, barber, and boa badges could make it really good. Might need wow token to get it financially viable.

token would ruin it. as it stands, players help each other. but with token, it becomes retail solo land. also store boosts are bad because again, it takes it out of the players hands to help each other, and just makes it instant solo. theres many other ways for them to sell us stuff, than interfering in the way the players interact. for example:

  • a barbershop tthat lets you change hairstyle, haircolor, markings and piercings., that also lets you modify height and weight. it would be the only example of it in wow and make tbc era and the purchase of this barbershop, very popular. since they dont have slider functionality, it would have to be small/medium/large and short, taller and very tall. if not that, then additional new hairstyles/new colors, something that would make the purchase player friendly and add interest to other wow players.

  • an ethereal npc that lets you do limited transmogs. by limited i mean maybe only greens and blues can be mogged and it has to be your armor class. like no mogging leather if you’re a plate wearer, even if you have leather on. and it has to be in the expac bracket - so you cant mog vanilla gear onto outlands gear. not account-wide. limited but at least you can level in style.

  • with the intro of mogging, cosmetics can be sold. a vanilla example, would be a pirate with hat, a shoulder parrot and weapons like rapiers or sabers. an outlands example, would be color variants of kael’thas tempest keep set.

  • a mount that fits the expac, such as a clefthoof or a mini fel reaver, an azuremyst elk or an eversong cougar

to make this all more player friendly, have variant ways most of this could be achieved by rare drops. like world drops, which are notoriously low chance, but still doable.

Yeah we’re going to need Wrath Era and TBC Era. This will let people who want to just do that, do it, instead of resorting to terrible private servers.

Then they can do classic+ without touching the Era servers.

that the reason why i hates expensions classics server. CLosing TBC server is too much

I made a post about this a few weeks ago
I will never understand why Blizz didn’t leave at least two tbc servers active, one pvp and one pve and forced everyone to go to wotlk
For me it was also a great experience, the first heroic dungeons, there wasn’t the explosion of gdkp raids caused by the sale of TOKEN, you really had an adventure experience, please blizz bring it back TBC CLASSIC

Be gone with your understanding of basic logic and sample sizes.

Obviously a separate server for us would be totally unviable because the extreme end game raiding is slightly different!

I would love a TBC classic server. Yes 10000x times or however many it takes to convince them. I missed the rollout of the last one due to moving. If I had Classic, TBC Classic, and HC, I’d never unsub from this game.

False. They ran TBC into Wrath because that was their plan all along (as has been stated more than once in interviews). The very fact that there are discussions in chat every day in game, and also quite often on the forums, asking for a TBC server, disproves your theory that it had anything to do with TBC’s “popularity”.

That’s the problem there’s not always time to do everything you wanted to do within Blizzards expansion cycles and short seasons. Dedicated servers give you a chance to go back.

I agree :100:
HC tbc would be awesome imho as well.

Not the same thing
Game mechanics from TBC to WOTLK are different. That would be like locking into classic on retail servers.

They should have Era servers
Classic, TBC, WOTLK. If you want to progress you can pay to transfer your character through them, or if you want to park on one you can. Keeps everyone happy and makes Blizzard some money for transfers/ carbon copy. But we will have to see changes made once Microsoft purchases them. Who knows what all will happen.

I’m still hoping that Blizzard can put something together for fans of TBC and WotLK. I do think it would be a great idea to merge the current Classic Era servers into one server (or two for PVE/PVP), and then create a single server for TBC, and one for WotLK. Players can then progress from one to the other with transfers, if they wish, or can just stay put.

This would especially be great since Cataclysm is coming out soon and some people want nothing to do with that.

I missed the Classic TBC boat due to IRL stuff, I would be very interested in reliving my introduction in WoW, TBC!

PvP isn’t needed. Its so niche at this point no one cares.

A single TBC server and a single Wrath server are reasonable I think.

No. The player base is too divided it as it is.

Frankly they shouldn’t even release Cataclysm after closing WOTLK. Also there’s no need for hardcore servers.

Actually just delete Dragonflight too, and don’t bother releasing the next expansion. Just keep classic era servers open, and put all of your resources into devoloping SoD/classic +

Everything else is a waste of time and money.
