Honestly would love a tbc server, and would be perfectly happy if they skipped the progression part, if that made it more possible to have the server.

I swear, this is the most dent headed thought process. So, we have to play the version you’re on so your ques are shorter? Some people don’t even sub cause Blizzard isn’t offering the version they wanna play.

I crave a TBC server that isn’t wrecked on launch by microtransactions.

The relaunch of TBC gave everyone who paid money a new mount, did not open fresh servers, gave folks a level boost if they paid.

The bots. The bots with the boost gear. I still have the nightmares.

No Boost Gear sure give us lvl 60 boost bot not lvl 70! I would personally like to see everyone start in vanilla content at level 1 so we can have time to explore and enjoy classic Azeroth before going through the Portal. BUT we do so with Blood Elves and Draenei among us and with TBC class design.

Well of course that is always been option leveling from 1 to 70 but offer lvl 60 boost as well but then dungeon leveling and questing in tbc was just as fun if not more fun then vanilla era is now and always was. ERA now is best leveling experience and true vanilla wow that made Warcraft what it is how famous it gotten. Vanilla and TBC provide both of those fantastic experiences and people will play those 2 servers for the next 10-15 years guaranteed with millions of dollars of revenue /monthly with A steady income for share holders at blizzard Activision hands down worst business decision for them to do is not release TBC ERA!

Imagine TBC with all MoPs classes and factions…Just re-create without dks or if you must make them from sacrificing a pally at 55

Its extremely unlikely that they would add any type of boost to a fresh TBC or WOTLK server, as the boosts really served as a way to catch people up to everyone else in the content, since for the most part everyone was already 60/70 on both their mains and alts, with a fresh server, everyone would start at level 1 so there would be no reason for a catch up mechanism.

I could see boost as a way to help revenue after about 6 months of the server going live. I don’t like the idea, but if it helps fund a server, I would cope.

Is it really about fragmenting or in some way would they lose money by keeping servers for TBC and Wrath?

And really, all people are asking for is a SINGLE server for both. Or I guess two, since you would have to have one PvE and one PvP. But I think what happened is we got Classic Era servers, people essentially abandoned them to the point where clusters had to be made of half a dozen servers each, and they aren’t going to dedicate anymore resources to what they view as complete ghost towns.

But those clusters are populated, Not as populated as Cata, but you can do everything you like to - at least this is how it is on the EU side, and from what I’m reading here US side is not much different.
The “mistake” if we can call it this, was one of two. Either just leaving all servers up - or not tagging the clusters in an obvious way.
2 of those servers could be used for TBC and 2 for Wrath with free one-way transfer off to the Classic Era servers - this transfetr could be up forever for people logging in for the firt time.
