This is getting ridiculous. You can’t have character names like [Removed], so why are they allowing people to use corona/covid in names? This is an epidemic that is killing thousands of people and is NOT something that people should be joking about.
I’m not some special snowflake that gets triggered over things, this is just distasteful to allow people to make light of this situation like this.
EDIT: I should state that this isn’t a direct jab at Blizzard by the way, I’m just saying that they should filter out names with those kinds of words in them. I know that Blizzard isn’t deliberately saying “Yeah, we are perfectly fine with people making fun of thousands of people dying to this epidemic!” I’m trying to bring it to light and I hope they make some changes to curb this behavior.

That’s…so…weird…

When you lose family to it let us know how unimportant it is.

Don’t waste your time on that person…they’re only attempting to be edgy, and really in much need of attention so the less it gets, the sooner it will leave.

Yeah, but he’s about as edgy as a dull butter knife.

Hence why I said “attempting”.

It is tasteless, but I’m not sure it’s worthy of action.* It’s a fad that will eventually fade away.
*…but I wouldn’t be sad if they did decide to block it, since it is so childish.

I wouldn’t, I think that’s tasteless.

Nah, that’s pretty funny. To each their own.

Covid, I could see.
But let us not ruin the term corona. It is useful for a lot of fire/star themed names.

You’re bad. Did you just run and make that character?

I’m guessing my name is somehow censorable
People feel a lack of power/control in a time of crisis so they want this to get banned to feel better.

I’m just always surprised there are people with that kinda mentality that literally have 120’s with a covid/corona variation of a name already right after news break live.

It’s hilarious until a member of your family dies from it.
That sucks the humor out of the topic real quick.

Yes, thanks for missing the whole point there.

I’m sorry if that happened, but I don’t see why I can’t enjoy a joke similar to how I cannot see why you felt the need to drop that on someone.
Do you detect malice from me? Shouldn’t because I have none.

Except some people use humor to cope with tragedy and help them get through tough emotional things like loss. You are more than free to find it tasteless and dislike it (I’ll even fight for your right to feel that way), but you don’t get to decide someone’s coping mechanism for them.
