Bliz has been VERY clear on what is autmation and what isnt. These jokers just want to tell bliz how they demand things be because they apparently cant figure out how to compete for resources like the rest of us.

It does not matter if it’s defined as automation or not.

Blizzard sets the definition in their game so it ABSOLUTELY matters.

Times change, Multiboxing isn’t as niche as it was back in Vanilla and the rules should change to fit that.

It does not matter if it’s defined as automation or not. It allows instant reactions across multiple instances of the game and that allows for a P2W advantage in the economy.

Apparently as long as there’s a person making the decision to press that key, it doesn’t matter if the rest are automated. It’s pretty mind boggling that they allow that, but they have forever and it’s probably not going to change.

Bliz apparently wants human beings playing the game, not AI.
As long as nothing is’automated’ by the GAME MAKERS definition of automation, they are apparently fine with it.

I’m not talking about one keystroke to multiple clients. that’s perfectly fine.

I’m talking about macros/programs that perform actions when no one is at the computer. That’s not fine.

Honestly, the only reason they couldn’t ban it before was probably assistive tech. The last thing Blizz needs is an ADA lawsuit on this sort of thing. But with the introduction of support for XInput in shadowlands they could easily ban this as XInput would allow for assistive tech without need for this at all.

Personal Opinion

Personally looking at the wiki for the program named in the OP… it’s automation when it comes to formations and variable keystrokes. If it just repeated a key I think it would have a much better case, but being able to map different keys to different clients is automation of a sort IMO.
