plus i feel like right now till it’s fix or p2 and up Divine Storm is just better to use over SoM
that exists. its called crusader strike, exorcist, divine storm.
I think they could make twisting way less clunky with a new rune.
Lingering Seals: When you switch from one seal to another, the former seal remains until after your next Auto Attack, or until it run out.
This rune would enable twisting without requiring the 0.4sec timing. Swing timers wouldn’t be essential (but still useful) and we’d have more freedom to set up our twists in between our CD abilities.
While we’re at it, here are some more Rune tier ideas:
Everlasting Light: Seal of Light is now a passive seal. It no longer has a duration when cast and it will persist alongside your active seal(s). Judgement will apply its effect as well as your active seal, but Seal of Light will not be consumed.
VS
Everlasting Wisdom: same as Light, but for Seal of Wisdom.
VS
Everlasting Justice: same as Light, but for Seal of Justice.
Seal of Storms: your auto attacks hit your target (and up to 3 other enemies) for 10%. Each proc consumes X% of your mana.
VS
Speedy Storms: you auto attacks have a X% chance to reset the CD of Divine Storm.
The first tier brings some viability to some cool but rarely-used seals. Holy pallies can judge Light or Wisdom without needing to press the Seal first, and melee paladins can get some passive mana or healing.
The second tier gives DS enjoyers the fun of the t10 set, and gives twisting enjoyers a cleave seal. The cleave seal should probably be expensive on mana to limit its use, but that could be offset by cranking up the self-mana-return on Seal of Martyrdom.
Yeah it is really fun however you really have to look at the current kit and see that there’s no place for it at this point. Exorcism, crusader stirke, and divine storm is a LOADED kit for ret paladin when you factor in what they were in original classic. Twisting would just be way over the top and a balancing nightmare

Yes, exactly. Those people cba to do something, and they don’t want anyone else who would want to do that thing, to do so. A barrel of crabs and they’re the crabbiest. Imagine them in real life. Instead of celebrating the potential success of others they would rather kneecap them. Sad!
Yeah look, pvp is already a hot mess with immortal priests and warlocks trolling around while hunter pets are soloing players. Dont make it even worse by adding big rng like SoC twisting and 2h enh into the mix.
No. Paladins are fine.
Do literally anything for shamans instead
I read and hear a lot of dumb things all day, but calling Rank 1 players “brain dead” and then the other word I won’t repeat to avoid a ban, seems incredibly silly. Yes, the best players in the world are dumb because they play their class the best. Just because it would make you especially upset, I hope they do add twisting to SoM. I hope every single paladin you see one shots you with this “unskilled” way to play.
Yes, why dont we ruin pvp more? Already getting there with immortal priests and warlocks, and hunter scorpids soloing other players.
Garbage players like you are why people think wow players are selfish.
You do know what Purge is, right? Perhaps don’t call someone else a garbage player when you don’t know basic class counters.
You do know that only 2 classes out of the 8 accessible to horde have access to a magic dispel, that removes 1 effect per cast and costs mana, right? Especially since things are harder to telegraph given you cannot see enemy buffs.
If anything its you who should learn basic mechanics.
And yet Purge has consistently been used by shamans to counter paladins. A good ele shaman has more of a presence in BGs than paladins generally do.
Most paladins can’t consistently perform seal twisting in PvP anyway, you’re whining about such a niche case. Granted you’ve also whined about multiple classes, all of which I’ve been able to kill.
So either you play with premades against solo players, you ran into braindead priests/hunters/warlocks, or a combo of the two. Doesnt mean that those three classes arent ruining pvp atm, and thats very much not indicative of your skill, or rather lack thereof.

And it should be kept out of pvp, same with 2h enh. Pvp already has dumb crap as I mentioned previously, doesnt mean we need to toss more into the fire.
I only solo queue.
You aren’t going to see a surge of paladins twisting SoC/SoM in BGs if it gets added compared with most going faceroll DS/Exor runes.
And to bring up 2h Enh when it’s a meme compared with Ele which is objectively superior makes me laugh.
You clearly cant read because im arguing this whole time to not bring back sealtwisting nor 2h enh.
First being niche and something most won’t do in PvP consistently, and the second a absolute meme spec for PvP. I hadn’t been following the whole thread, but seeing you call someone else a garbage player when that’s what you are complaining about is just hilariously pathetic.
Probably seething over a time some Enh memester clapped you. Most people know to have a chuckle at that rather than develop some deranged fixation.

Because you seem to be unaware about bssic class mechanics, let me explain this shortly: divine storm is much easier to predict and telegraph so its much easier to guess how much damage someone can do (crit nonwithstanding). The same cannot be said for SoC, which you dont know if someone can instantly proc just by touching you once, or just autoattack forever and do 0 damage cus they dont proc.
Similar logic applies to sword spec arms and 2h wf.

Yes, must be my fault instead of myriads of paladins crying for sealtwisting to come back, or for 2h enh to come back.
Ok retard.
Once again, most paladins aren’t able to consistently perform seal twisting in PvP since botching it eats up mana. DS/Exor is going to remain the go-to for most as it is easier to consistently perform. Basing your expectations on outliers is faulty thinking.
Even playing on Era PvP for quite some time where twisting SoC/SoR does bump up performance, I never saw most paladins do it in PvP since it’s more difficult compared with PvE.
Most who want seal twisting are clamoring for it in PvE since it makes for a more interesting rotation. I can’t speak for 2h Enh since I only played shaman a bit in SoM, but Enh will remain a meme spec compared with Ele which will always remain superior.
This is just deranged thinking. Slinging a slur doesn’t help your case.
