Just keep in mind that many people play this game for various reasons, some reason you can’t even think of. If for you dungeons is just another way to play diablo, it’s fine, I’m not going to argue about that because for me it is too once RDF is out.

You act like a dungeon is the only place to socialize. Imagine what this game would be like if it had chat channels, interactions in zones and towns, guilds, friend lists, et cetera.

I never really understood this argument. If manually forming a group is so integral to the experience then it stands to reason there would still be plenty of people manually grouping after its inclusion. It’s basically admitting that people only manually group without RDF because it’s their only choice

I don’t disagree with that at all. That doesn’t change that from a technical stand point RDF in no way prevents people from preforming groups if they prefer.

I am not. This can be one conclusion you can draw but there are also other conclusions you can draw: humans are lazy. They take the least path of resistance in life. If have an automated tool, they will use it. There will be certainly people that will use the “hard” way of actually forming a group, but those will dwindle because they can’t find enough people and might just go back to a time without RDF.
Its not much different than life. Walking to get your groceries is an option but when you have a car that just gets you there without any issues, there is no reason to not use it. Does that make walking bad? no.
Then take it to Facebook, Twitter, the real world, or somewhere else and let those that want to play the content play the content. You cannot play the game and type to other people. If we are fighting a boss and you are sitting there yapping, I would kick you from the group. 4 other people are not going to be doing all the work while you want to sit there and socialize and try to get free loot. Sounds familiar doesnt it? Saying people just want RDF for free loot right?

I am absolutely not against RDF. I have been playing with RDF since its introducing and most likely for longer than you have. It is not a bad tool.
The difference between you and me is that open for discussion and I can see what anti-RDFs have as an argument, and yes, the tool does reduce the social interactions (that I personally have). Does it personally bother me? no. Does it bother them? yes. Do I want to prevent RDF? No, I don’t care (I’m literally pushing a “Please add RDF” thread). And yes, I see how important it is currently is in Wrath but people saying the tool only has benefits is not true and just creates endless conversations and at best it ends with people just muting, ignoring or hating.

Who is saying it only has benefits? In fact most people are saying that the complaints are not to the level that people suggest that they are. Like toxic people… I can count on 1 hand the amount of toxic interactions that I can even remember throughout the over a decade of RDF existing.
You are doing the exact thing, creating strawman arguments because you have nothing to actually say against what people are actually saying. We are saying toxic people absolutely do exist, but the level is so small that its not even worth talking about. Talking about one red sheet of paper being in the bunch when you bought 5000 sheets of paper. Its a pointless to bring up the single piece of red paper. Right? So people saying “OMG there are so many toxic people because the anonymity breeds toxicity, how do I know? Because I partook in kicking low dps players!” Just because you cant handle yourself (YES YOU, because you said you and your friends would kick low DPS players) doesnt mean the majority of the people cant and just want to get the dungeon done and get our emblems.
