My personal reason for not playing Tauren is they’re too big and look bad on most mounts. I like their aesthetic, but those two reasons are deal breakers for me. Nothing beats an Orc warrior imo. My warrior is a proud Orc of the Maghar clan.

My only level 70 is a Female Gnome Mage.
Cute as a button.
Can handle 335K targets, solo, with ease.
Will clean your clock very easily.

I actually think gnomes look pretty good haha I even like their casting animations. I have never played one long-term, but have always wanted to. I’d say the only thing that bothers me about them is how most gear looks on them.

I feel like your whole post IS about disrespecting other people’s choices though. You’re basically saying YOU can’t understand why someone would play a race that YOU think is “weird”, “deformed”, “whack” and a waste of a good transmog. Why do we have to explain ourselves and what we like to you? Are you some kind of WoW anthropologist? It comes off as condescending and yes, disrespectful.
Why can’t you just accept that not everyone shares your tastes and leave it at that?

Says the guy playing an orc, a race whose males literally look as dumb as a box of rocks. Everything about them screams ‘mouthbreather’, from their beady eyes and weird noses, to the MASSIVE underbite and ‘I GOT BOAR IN MUH DNA’ tusks.
I’d play a gnome over one of them any day.

For me personally, I feel a kindred spirit between myself IRL and Attimis for one huge reason:
Gnomes get bullied because of the sophistication or height size. I get bullied because of an unnamed illness. Such hardships result in increased intelligence… somehow. Don’t take my word on neuroscience. I somehow just relate to Attimis in a HUGE way via limerence.
Another reason is because I would imagine this Mechagnome would absolutely love the game of Tetris. Tetris is your biggest and most simple way of tinkering with blocks and exercising your prefrontal cortex. Or your cognitive thinking abilities.
And because mages hit the books and learn the most extraordinary of things, such as multidimensional theories or even quantum mechanics, most individuals in Dungeons and Dragons would dictate they would legit become Gods. Not saying that I’m one, but holy **** could you imagine the power? SUPER ENERGETIC and yet OVERWHELMING!
Finally, poof! Attimis is born.

We’re harder to target. Gnomes are able to put out the same damage as the big races but in a much more compact frame. We can fit more damage per cubic meter than 3-4 other races. Toughest race in Azeroth.

In fact, it’s not their fault, Blizzard has been the lore disappointment, at least the Goblins have grace, not this crap… from Gnomeran to Mechagon they are terrible to talk about gnome lore.
The only thing that stands out is Mirmiron in Ulduar, but Ulduar is the origin of the WoW races, which would be overshadowed by the splendor of that raid.
That’s why I’d rather give trolls than create these hot dogs if Blizzard hasn’t given a bit of effort to make a good lore of this race.

I really don’t like short races, and how gnomes are presented in the game as a joke race is kind of annoying and obnoxious. Mechagnomes had a more interesting aesthetic to me, and were presented as less of a joke so I made one of them. Though quickly realized I didn’t like them either, thanks to the diaper gnome look which ruins them for me.
