Shades of old Sim City where Godzilla or a tornado would wipe out your entire town.
I would like full 360 degree placement of objects. Including a way to move things up/down. Let us have full control over our landscape, etc. Similar to what Wildstar did. People were able to build some amazing things.
Of course, have some âpre-builtsâ for those not talented yet at building. But, for those that can build a-la Wildstar or Sims, itâd help.
Have a lot of furniture options, trees, grass, dirt, etc. You can update each zone and add world drops to each zone. Like in Dreanor those red trees can drop from there or Azshara. The pine trees from Grizzly. Etc. The zones have unique arictecture, designs, knickacks, mob heads etc.
I want none of these things, I think housing is irrelevant to my wants in this game, becoming an interior decorator is not one of them. Theyâre welcome to sell it to you for $100
I can picture my ex wife leering at a wall now" Whatâs that thing?âMe : do you not recognize " Ragnarosâs butt?â
AMBIANCE!
I want to be able to change the ambiance while inside. Imagine a fierce storm outside, wind and rain lashing at the windows, but you are safe and warm next to a roaring fire. Now imagine a sunny morning, birds chirping outside. Somewhere in the distance you can hear village noises. Sunlight comes in through a stained glass window, spreading color across the room. Now imagine a dreary drizzle outside. The floor boards creak as you walk. A ticking clock echoes in the old house. A gnomish music box quietly plays a sweet but creepy melody.
Turalyoj breaks i to my home in the middle of the night
He lins me up against the wall crazy
âWHERES ALLERIAâ
âSHES NOT HERE! Whats wrong with you Turalyonâ
âI dont know. I think im burned out from grinding brinze tolens for armor sets ill never useâ
âYouâre losing it. Get it togeterâ
âSoery anduinâ walks out
Different architectural options. Alts (across entire Battle.net account) stopping by to visit. Bank access. A yard. The ability to put items on display. And a separate hearthstone.
Pick your zone. In less than friendly zones, you can build a sniperâs post or artillery unit and pass some time killing the local beasties.
One of my biggest fears for Player Housing is that Blizzard knows how much a lot of people want the feature, and theyâre going to take advantage of that fact by gating the best furniture/decorations/basically any cool stuff behind the hardest parts of the game, like as a means to stimulate participation.
That would be fine to an extent, but i just hope they keep it within the ranges of what your average Player Housing fan is going to get into, donât be putting important stuff behind high level M+, mythic raiding or rated PvP
I personally have no reason to do anything with housing, UNLESS, they add something fun like a home invasion PVP thing to it. Thatâd be a lot of fun for me and other people who enjoy PVP.
This would be a great way to add some professions (IE: Carpenter) and new recipes. We all need curtains, rugs, tableware, glasses, flooring, fireplace guards, etc.
I wonder if our warband will be limited to a single home or if we will be able to collect plots of various sizes and styles in different locations over time, potentially customizing them for different characters / themes?
one thing i need to ask.
Will all plots of land be the same price? or will there be prime locations, and less expensive areas?
Another question. Will there be an auction system for players to bid on said locations? That way, the market will rake in more money for WoWâs economy.
Just my 2 cents
Iâm hoping that land scarcity is not going to a thing. It would seem almost malicious design to go that way when phasing/instancing tech already solved this for the farm/garrison/delves.
A welcome mat.
agreed
I am a downer, I cant imagine why I need a video game home, or what I would put in it. I hope it is interesting , but it isnât something I ever wanted personally.
At a minimum, I want DAoC style housing for the insides, and how to get property.
I want Onyxiaâs head over my mantle for all the times I had to do the run of shame in Vanilla. Thatâs one happy example of things I want in my home.
I do not have the resources to make an Onyxia & put it up on my wall at home.
I agree with having a yard/outdoor area, I would also like to have my alts visit or maybe even have them be roommates?
I think there will be some of that, but I donât think it will take over the system as a whole. Theyâve dedicated an entire team just to housing; thatâs too much money and time invested to be locked behind M+. Iâm still okay with high-end content gating some items, just because players who play at that level deserve to have it. Itâs a lot of effort and I think itâs only fair for them to get something nice/exclusive for their homes.
1000% agree. I kind of hope thereâs a mix of a new carpentry profession for making furniture, and having other professions make some housing items as well. Let tailors make carpets and curtains, leatherworkers can make bearskin rugs and suitcases, etc. etc.
I hope they do let us have multiple houses to a character, itâd be kind of a shame if we couldnât. I donât even really see a reason why theyâd do something like that so hopefully they wonât.
Personally I donât want to have to compete with someone else for a plot of land. I donât eat-breathe-sleep WoW, I play other games too. I would prefer plots be instanced.
Of course a library to put every lore books and items of the game !!!
