Player Housing in World of Warcraft

Thanks for the support.

Yes!

It will be great to see how everyone in your guild have a plot (house) and decorate it in their way…

Also, the ‘Guild Hall’ or ‘Palatial Guild Hall’, It will be a great place for placing your guild achievements, It will be great memories.

how would you get decoration materials like the heads of bosses you’ve killed if it wasn’t tied to endgame progression loops…

in the OPs defense…so was the “we want flight on day one” topic…and here we are.

That’s not a loop, though, that’s simply a reward.

A loop would be that the housing itself somehow further advances progression which makes people start to feel trapped in guilds and treat them like employment. SWTOR has a gameplay system attached to its guild housing and that is not one of the good parts of SWTOR housing.

I never see empty in ESO…lots of housing. I have lots of houses there myself. Game has lots of busy zones.

it is though… that would be reward tied to a endgame progression loop of raiding or dungeons…

no…they cant…theyre OBSESSED with any topic they dont like. theyd literally troll this thread on a topic they DONT like rather than participating in one they DO.
just in their nature

okay, yes, fair, that is one way to read my sentence. so substitute it with, “as long as it is not a functional component of the progression gameplay loop” and you have my meaning.

guilds being able to get a reward from their progression is fine – we have that already, we have guild achievements and they were not nuked with the majority of guild perks.

That would be cool, to actually be a part of the city and have a house along the way. Like some weird side street in Orgrimmar, take a left down the dark alley and its the next house on the right(nothing good goes down in houses on the left, I learned this a long time ago)

i wouldnt think that they would do that if its supposed to be cosmetics only.

neither would I, which is why this tangent started when I objected to the idea that

In general, yes, giving guilds special perks can be a disaster. But guild housing existing? Nah, not as long as it’s a chiefly cosmetic thing.

What It is mean with the post it is like the neighborhood from the EverQuest game. Something alike that, but much better, with the WoW graphics and style.

Thanks for the support.

Blizzard (World of Warcraft) have personnel that came from EverQuest game, she or them could use these ideas with their knowledge to make it happen for the good of the game.

It will get WoW for sure to a higher prestige level, much above of all the others MMO games that had that concept. WoW has a lots of things that others games has, this is one of the missing things they need to implement for that type of public/costumers.

And yet I supported absolutely nothing of what’s in the OP…

Thanks for the support.

The one we are requesting, It is one like the old MMO game called ‘EverQuest’. Search it for having a better Idea on it. I hope you like the idea, It will be great! and with the one that this post is referring to, you won’t lose your progress for sure. ^_-

Try searching it via Google or YouTube. Regarding to the Housing/Guild Neighborhood.

I hope you like the idea, and I hope to see this realize one day in World of Warcraft.

Try searching it on Google or YouTube for the one from the EverQuest game, the Housing/Guild Neighborhood. That’s the model that this post is requesting on. I hope you like the Idea… It would be great if Blizzard (World of Warcraft) materialize it In-Game with the WoW graphics.

Wildstar had instanced player housing. Every player got a skyplot which was basically a flat floating island of land in the sky. You could change the ground, the sky, the lighting, and ambient music. You could mimic environments from different zones or just make your own. I’ve seen lots styled like the artic, jungle, wild west, urban city, underwater, and outer space, to name a few. Towards the end (rip) they added a feature that allowed players to link their lots together and build up whole communities. People were building entire cityscape environments. It was amazing. There was very nearly no limit to what you could build and design. With as many unique assets as exist in WoW, a housing system like that would be GODLIKE.

Champions Hall, for PvPers in SW. Not “Class” Hall. Technically, every city you land in is on a separate “shard” which is how some friends are not viewable until you join a party. The same could be done with Housing where once you “Click to open the front door” it takes you into something similar to a Garrison or Delve, where it exists in the open world, but non-party members cannot see you are enter the same instance. The Rogue and Paladin Class halls worked similarly where you had to gain entrance by having the right item, or being the right class. Maybe instead of a Rogue’s token to lay on a table, they give you a “housekey” and the doorman lets you in :blue_heart:
