I lost the other threads and a original topic that i made in 2018, but I was suggesting that we could have our own housing in each map, in pre-selected areas, where we could have some neighbors or a pleasant environment that makes the player enjoy the place, with activities and exclusivities in each location, including quests, mounts, and region-specific transmogs. In the end, we could move with our materials to other parts of the game.
I’ve been suggesting this for years and… FINALLY!!!

I made countless threads asking for centaurs as an allied race.
I explained how they could fly, how they could run, their armor, appearance, classes :
I even created lore that could easily bring several races into the game!

5+ years asking for housing, giving the EXACT ideas that you are using right now.

Believe me, I have old posts about all these threads, but my personal page only shows topics from 2024 onward… maybe it’s because I changed the character’s name, I don’t know.
hate to burst your bubble but you didnt have the idea of player housing. blizzard themselves had originally planned a neighborhood for housing back in vanilla but had to scrap it due to limitations of the time, remember that BIG locked off portal in stormwind?
The original idea that I remember they found, was very different from the idea I described. I know it’s their creation, but what they were going to do was basically just a cluster of houses in a fixed location, without local area quests, events, or anything like that.
Not to mention smaller entrances around Stormwind that were intended to be related to housing. I even have a vague memory of seeing draft artwork for it.
They always liked the idea but when they first had it, the game just didn’t have the ability to carry it. Since then we’ve had Class Halls and the almost-but-not-quite garrison and the even closer Sunsong Ranch in MoP. Each has been a step along the way which hopefuly has taught them the positives and, more importantly, the mistakes to avoid.
Sorry OP, but this isn’t such a unique and individual idea unlike any other that it could be realistically deemed you are the sole reason that housing is now being implemented or in the way it is being done.

and this folks is why blizzard can’t have the suggestions forum anymore. people post an idea and get it in their head THEY’RE the one who was responsible for its creation.
I actually like the library idea. In ESO, after doing the mage college questline, you get eidetic memory ability. That means every lore books you read in the game is now in its own menu system now to go back and read without going looking for the book. It’s so great.
