Player housing better be not just for the rich

they should make 30 story high rises and let us rich folk buy the penthouse.

You guys are so gloomy. How about folks consider what this might ‘bring’ rather than detract from something we all know next to nothing about? This might well work like Final Fantasy, yes. It could have “plots” you buy. That IMHO could be bad as it could make a scenario like the OP says. However if instanced like say Garrisons, it could also create a situation where a few new professions pop up, like Carpentry; which make amenities for the Houses etc. WoW seems to be going the right way atm, and WWI has been a great expansion so far. How about a little optimism eh?

In California owning a home is exclusively for the rich - so I agree - this WoW housing may be the only home I ever own. :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:Definitely can’t afford a multi-brutosaur garage . :sauropod::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

Gathering is ,quite possibly, the most lucrative way to make gold.

I didn’t gather for the longest time, just enough for what i needed for engineering, and I was always broke. So I made a druid that mines and herbs, now all 5 of my 80’s never have less than 100k on them.

Comes down to either; being ok with being broke, or doing activities a person would rather not do to make currency.

I may just keep my Garrison. I do wish I could move it to a better location though. Will have to see what they actually implement.

Garrisons were interesting but i always crave more customization options. No matter what, i just want to be able to make the space personalized.

A really cool option id like to see is to be able to put our home anywhere on azeroth. And itd be like the vulpera passive where we can teleport there on CD. Id love to have my home on pandaria.

Let’s be sure to play coy and talk about how much in game gold we think player housing should cost, and how cheap, before we admit we are willing to pay $90 and more for interesting ingame items.

For now, let’s all admit we do our gathering professions, everything we hate that makes money, and our dragon riding races at every opportunity. Blizzard could forget about the brutosaur.

Or a new currency you earn from the next dead-to-be zone that you then convert to another currency and so on.

Same. They need to increase gold rewards for completing dungeons and delves. I usually have net loss in gold after each dungeons due to repairs as well unless it is a zero death smooth run.

Player housing will 100% be gold. Gold for the the house, gold for house stuff from vendors, gold for crafted stuff, gold to add a second floor, gold for a patio expansion. Real money for a fountain for the patio, you’ll be able to get a recolor from a current tier mythic raid end boss.

Pvp snd mythics generate NO gold.

That would instantly kill housing in WoW

If they copy from other games, there will be tiers of housing as well as decorations that run from cheap / free to very expensive in gold to even some requiring buying with real world currency on the store.

My prediction is some weird tiered FOMO fueled nonsense.

15 dollar entry level shack in some boring, and inconvenient to reach place like blade edge mountains.

With ever increasing levels of both desirable, and convenient locations. Culminating in a 500 dollar mansion plot in goldshire.

All with some time limited element to goad players into opening their wallets for the “limited time offer”

i hope they steal rift’s dimensions idea including the profession that went with it to make things for it

edit to say: if its limited or rented like in new world i will never ever look at it again just like in new world. f that crap

Love that you people get pre-mad before it’s even released.

“oh look, the poors want housing”
It’ll likely be opt-in
but we will still be required to go through mundane campaign bs,
It’ll be a waste of time at best.
I bet it will be warband housing, not individual alt housing.

I hope they have a good way to place furniture and items, none of this large items only go in large boxes, medium size items go into the medium size boxes. I remember Star Wars Galaxies house and item placing was the bomb

Is that doing old content? I see some BoA world quests giving a higher gold reward than anything in current content.

you guys realize player housing is just another gimmick to get you to buy more stuff from the store right?
