Player housing and garrisons

It honestly must be exhausting having to be this overwhelmingly obnoxious at all times.

Or does it just come naturally to you?

Satire writing clearly isn’t for everyone.

this isn’t satire, im being completely serious
take a look at diablo immortal and then ask yourself if player apartment fees are gonna happen.

i can admit when i’ve made a mistake
i was completely wrong about player apartments
did i make a mistake? yes i did, but i learned from my mistake and i became a better person for having made the mistake

i can now see the light, the future!

And that future is the microtransactions for player apartments that will fund the development of WoW for well over a century!

and i owe my newfound love for player apartments all to our dear friend, Rollo who helped me to wipe away the dirt from my glasses and see the world so very clearly!

praise be to Rollo, my hero!

hello friend, would you like to help me brainstorm new ideas that blizzard could monetize within the system of player apartments?

oh oh oh!!

animal owner fees - you would have to pay a monthly fee in order to keep one of your battle pets in the apartment
the larger the battle pet, the higher the fee will be.

garage fees - you could stable one of your favorite mounts behind your apartment to show off to your neighbors if you paid an extra monthly fee for use of the garage.

Well was running dry, huh bud?

what are some other microtransactions you believe could be added to the player housing system?

i was thinking maybe a fee for internet - like you could use your internet to look at the LFG finder and apply for groups within the comfort of your own home but only if you paid a monthly fee for internet to access the LFG.

i must say, this was a lovely discourse that we all had today! i am so thankful for you all opening up my eyes and turned me around and convinced me to love player apartments!

hopefully they will show up soon and blizzard will be able to start the player apartment battlepass!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and that you all enjoy reading through my ideas for microtransactions that will surely spice up the player apartment experience

Don’t threaten me with a good time! Oggles a painting of a pear hanging on the wall

Those two things are not mutually exclusive though, they don’t fix several year old bugs and broken glitchy things as is, why would adding housing make a difference?

Hes probably hoping to make enough racket that no one can talk. Just put him on ignore and let him shout into his little microphone with the sound off.

You should gather up a little list of what people are suggesting (seriously) and put it in the OP if you aren’t already.

Let Blizzard see what folk are talking about easier.

I’d rather take a look at WoW instead. Because that’s the game we’re talking about player housing for.

“This orange that isn’t the apple we’re talking about is totally going to be like the apple, even though the apple has never functioned the way the orange does.”

This is what your blabbering reads like.

You’ve gone from “you already got housing and should be happy with it,” to “they’ll just make terrible housing if they try again,” to “why would they make housing again” to “you’ll get housing with stupid amounts of microtransactions if they make it, and that’s why they should make it.”

Again, if you think everything is going to end badly, why are you here?

As for me, iʻm not much of a decorator. Iʻll appreciate a house if it offers a tangible bonus. In ESO I love that houses are a free hearth spot to quick return to from wherever.

I can’t imagine it wouldn’t let you hearth to it.

Wow might even have a specific hearthstone like the Dalaran one or the Garrison one.

Assuming you get to choose location too you could really setup a quick point for whatever you’re doing. Even better if they let you eventually build a portal network room or something.

You’ll definitely be able to use the player apartment for a hearth if you pay the micro transaction fee for it

I’m sure it would, especially now that they turned those into toys.

While I’d appreciate the convenience, I also appreciate that Blizzard wants to funnel people through central areas to make the world feel more alive, so it probably wouldn’t happen.

Maybe a portal back to Orgrimmar or Stormwind, though?

Yeah and while I hate it I wouldn’t really expect Blizzard to do more than the Stormwind or Orgrimmar Portal.

Though what if they did a half way between that. You get the SW/ORG portal and you can choose 1 other city to add to the list. So like you can choose to have the Alliance/Horde Capital and then on the side you get one that is up to you.

You should be able to add more portals to your house if you pay an extra micro transaction fee, I would imagine.

Seems fair, I’m sure most people would set it to “current expansion hub”.

Also ties back into the original point of this thread, since garrisons had the ogre portals that you could set throughout Draenor.

edit: dang, ran out of flags for the clown. oh well.
