When we do get player housing, some things like music rolls should roll over into the houses as an account wide thing. Thoughts? Suggestions on other ideas?
Like, imagine you walk into an actual house in WoW and the Karazhan Opera theme just starts playing or Invincible.
Also:
Fully customizable battle pets on display in the new housing where we can pick and choose which pets are running around
Ability to have alts as NPCs and profession vendors
Capability to put new housing in different places
Content related display trophies from legacy content
Gutters for Dan to unclog (I’m just kidding Dan)
Profession based furniture
Customizable mission tables
Book shelves and other containers:
Because I DO collect all those weird and interesting books we just find lying around…

Pretty likely, they’ve addressed it in increasing frequency in recent years.
They just always say it’ll take some work to put in, so who knows when it’ll happen.
That is definitely a concern. If/when they ever do housing it needs to be a permanent new feature like transmog and battle pets that gets continuous development for the rest of the game’s life.
In the spirit of WoW being a cooperative experience, I’d love for player housing to take the form of guild halls instead. Give players their own instanced rooms if your guild has a tavern or barracks.
To piggyback on battle pets: if you have a theoretical battle pet station, the pets walking around are random from the Members, and can scrap.
Also! A real hunter stable where hunters can set their pets to roam around. Same thing with the randomly chosen just as the stables in the garrison will pull five from your collections.
You’re not wrong. Guild leads won’t give people permission to decorate guild halls, so it’s just another thing that sits there, like Old Republic guild ships. I love my guild ship. But I’m the one decorating it. No one ever really uses them. Same thing would happen for guild halls.
Not to mention, then people will scream about how guilds are mandatory and unlocks for guild halls require large guilds and small guilds are left behind… then it’s just Cata all over again.
For me this would be hilarious, because I’d have: a Thornspeaker occultist, a headless Dwarf horseman, and a Drac’thyr that looks like Blitzo/Brandon Raygers walking around…
That is a design philosophy that Blizzard really need to change!
Make content matter over several expansions, not just the current one.
Considering how much money they earn from WoW, they should hire a few devs who would only work with adding content to older expansions like finish up uncompleted quest chains even add new quests etc…
i wish they would let us put our garrisons on different continents of our choice in the meantime, I for one still use my garrison and it would be nice to walk out the gate and be in the current expansion area.
Blizzard could even go back to old raids and add trophies that you couple display. Like a shard of frostmourne or KTs head or illidans blindfold. Would be cool and give more stuff to do.
Garrisons weren’t player housing, not even close. We need something more akin to RIFT’s player housing.
Let us select from several different models of homes and decorate them with items that can be crafted/found in the world, dropped from NPCs, and earned from achievements. Give us the ability to open our homes to guildmates, friends, and even the world. With a choice of homes and the ability to freely place items, each home would be truly unique.
Please, stop being disingenuous and acting like garrisons are anything like what people have been asking for nearly two decades.
